Cuban Immigrants Warn Americans of ‘Misery for Everybody’ If They Choose Socialism: ‘Learn the Truth’

With efforts by prominent Democrats—who control the United States House, Senate, and White House—to steer the United States towards socialism, many of those who immigrated to the United States to escape socialist and communist countries like Cuba are raising their voices in warning of the socialist lie that will only bring “equal misery for everybody.”

“Learn the truth,” Maximo Alvarez, Director at Florida State University, cautioned in an exclusive interview with The Epoch Times on Wednesday. “The media is not telling you the truth. Your teachers, your professors, they are not telling you the truth.”

“This is a very emotional subject for me,” Alvarez said. “I was blessed to have parents who understood communism. When my dad saw what was happening in Cuba, he thought that it was going to be temporary.”..
