Democratic activist Stacey Abrams is once again running for governor of Georgia.

“I’m running for governor because opportunity in our state shouldn’t be determined by zip code, background or access to power,” Abrams said in a statement.

Abrams, 47, announced her 2022 bid on Nov. 30. She was defeated by current Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp in the 2018 election.

“If our Georgia is going to move to its next and greatest chapter, we’re going to need leadership,” she said in a campaign video.

Abrams, a former Georgia House of Representatives minority leader, still maintains that she would have won the 2018 contest if voter suppression hadn’t taken place. She has provided little evidence to support her claims… (Excerpts from the Epoch Times)
