Michael Baumgartner (R)

Father, I pray for Michael Baumgartner. Thank you for his service. May he look to you for wisdom and strength, and serve in humility from love of our country and our Constitution. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a life with you through Jesus Christ, Creator and Redeemer. Protect him and his family.

"Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses My servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Thank You, Jesus, for Your son Michael, may he make the right decisions that honor You. Protect him and his family. In Jesus' me, amen.

Father, I pray for Representative Michael Baumgartner to become familiar with Your word following the advice given by the Apostle Paul to Timothy: "Think over what I say for the Lord will give you understanding in everything" (2 Timothy 2:7). Please provide the understanding that Senator Baumgartner needs to best serve the interests of the United States and the citizens of Washington state. Amen.

Father, I pray that Representative Baumgartner may correct his opponents with gentleness. So that God may perhaps grant both Representative Baumgartner and his opponent repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25). May they both come to trust Jesus as their Savior.

Father, I pray that Your Word would be a lamp to Representative Baumgartner's feet and a light to his path. May he seek You for wisdom first. (Psalm 119:105).

Father, I know little about how Representative Baumgartner will vote on legislation. He sounds conservative but I am waiting to see what he actually does. I pray that he will read the Bible and study it to know more about You so that grace and peace will be multiplied to him. (2 Peter 1:2). May he come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. May he choose to follow Him.
