Tim Sheehy (R)

Father, bless Senator Sheehy for his distinguished military service and for his sensitivity towards the healing of our nation from 9/11 and moving forward from the tragedy. May he be a strength and encouragement to others as they push past the trauma of this time. Give him wisdom and discernment as a member of Congress in forming laws that speak to the strength and advancement of our nation, safeguarding the Constitution and walking in integrity, calling our nation back to morality and justice. Please encourage him and give him wisdom and discernment as he works across party lines. Guide him into all truth, always doing the right thing, regardless of what others may choose to think or do. Turn his heart towards righteousness and truth. May he value the sanctity of human life and stand as an strong ally to Israel. Use him mightily for Your service, Lord, and bless his family. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Father, I pray for Senator Sheehy and Representative Pat Harrigan who are sponsoring bills in their respective Chambers regarding elite special operations veterans to have nationwide firearm carry privileges under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004. I pray for all senators and representatives in Congress to be prudent in evaluating the public safety implications of allowing nationwide concealed carry across state lines for special forces veterans. May these men "run with endurance the race that is set before them". (Hebrews 12:1b)
