Father God, I lift this fine person before you who has chosen to serve in the public arena called politics.. I ask for a special set of blessings upon him throughout his service to the people of city, state, and nation. Gift him a special understanding of the intent and purpose of all brought before him as information and for action. Grant him the wisdom of the men of Issachar who had understanding of the times, and knew what their nation ought to do. Give unto him, his loved ones, staff, and constituents safety, health, and prosperity. Protect him and his reputation as you guide him through the many opinions presented, that he have the wisdom of Solomon to judge the truth of maters presented and act according to its honesty and value. In Jesus name I pray, Amen, Amen.

Father God, Thank you for Lloyd Doggett and the divine purpose for which you created him. I pray he fulfill that purpose to the fullest measure. I pray Your presence be with him pouring out wisdom and understanding, council and might, knowledge and fear of the Lord. Bless him Lord with eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart that loves and understands as You do. I pray for You to open his heart to receive You as Lord bless him with a road to Damascus experience that will transform him into the man You created him to be living in truth and righteousness. May Your kingdom come and perfect will be done in Lloyd and through Lloyd on earth as it is in heaven.

Father God, again a person I do not know how to pray for; Lord I repent for not having true love or empathy in my heart for these Democratic representatives as I attempt to bring them before your throne. I do not know this person or his heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. I commit him to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of his eternal soul and life, that he might be redeemed and that he might make a positive impact on other lives he encounters. Lord God, draw this man unto yourself and Your purpose for his life. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this man that You would do a work in his life, his heart and that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for his life, purpose and mission in Government. May he open his heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of false, harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. Jesus, Holy Spirit, hear my words and mumblings and present them to the Father for His perfect working in lives. Thank you o' God for hearing our pleas and for Your blessing over America; I pray You do not withdraw it, but sweep the nation with Your Spirit to bring awakening and renewal to the hearts of the people unto Yourself.

Father, I lift up Lloyd Doggett. Thank you for hid service for you and for our country. Give him a heart to seek for your wisdom rather than his own. May he not serve for money or power but with a desire to please you. Give him a desire for righteousness and for true life with Jesus as Savior and Lord. Protect him and his family.

As a fellow Texan strong in our heritage of independent thinking may his service honor our Father God, country and the great state of Texas As independent as we are in Texas may this servant of the people stay in the Word and utilize it towards the the decision and policies he supports. We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Lloyd Doggett. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Doggett. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his Savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Representative Doggett be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Texas and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives.
