Eric Sorensen (D)

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Eric Sorensen. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Sorensen. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his Savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Eric Sorensen be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Illinois and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives. In Jesus name, Amen

Father, I lift up Representative Eric Sorensen. Thank you for his service to you and to our country. Give him a spirit of gratitude for what you have done for him and for our country. May he not serve for money or power, but as serving you, Creator and Savior. May he ask for your wisdom to guide him. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness that he may find life in Jesus Christ. Protect him and his family.

Father, please bless Representative Sorensen and draw him closely to Your side. Lead him in the paths of righteousness, and may he seek Your guidance as he goes about his duties in Congress. He is proud of his State and of safeguarding the needs of all the citizens; give him wisdom and godly counsel to lead him in a straight path that is well-pleasing to You. May he continue to point the way for other members of Congress to establish clear boundaries when it comes to making laws. Teach him to value the sanctity of human life. May he be a strong ally to Israel. Encourage him and keep him well and safe. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Lord, please watch over Eric, that his eyes and heart will be open to knowing your Truths and that he might be bold in his convictions to protect the constitution and the people he has been elected to serve. Protect him from evil and lead him not into temptation. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen

Father God, again a person I do not know how to pray for; I do not know this man or his heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. I commit Representative Eric Sorensen to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of his eternal soul and his life, that he might be redeemed and that he might make a positive impact on other lives he encounters. Lord, draw him unto yourself and Your purpose for his life. Open his heart, his mind. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this man that You would do a work in his life, in his heart that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for his life and his purpose and mission in Government. May he open his heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. Thank you o' God for hearing our pleas and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw it, but sweep the nation with Your Spirit.

I come to You Father with supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that in Your Mercy we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in Your sight Lord God our Saviour!
