Heavenly Father, I lift up to you our Secretary of the Commonwealth, Kay James. Lord, I pray that as we enter an election year that she would lead this state in righteousness and truth. I pray that you would surround her with Godly counsel as she oversees the legal matters of our state.

Thank you Lord God for Mrs. James and for her service to the State of Virginia. I know she is a strong believer and a strong American. Grant her Wisdom, Knowledge, Discernment, Strength and Abiding Faith to do her job and stand strong. Heavenly Father, place your hand and your spirit of protection over her and her family for their daily lives and for her as she administers and performs her duties. Thank you, Father for hearing our prayers and pleas; may Jesus, our Advocate, always present our mumblings and longings to you for your perfect will and action. Thank you for your grace, mercies and abundant blessings.

Father, I pray for this dear lady as she serves in the position of Secretary of State. Encourage her, protect her and her family and give her wisdom in all the decisions she makes. Bless her and guide her. May she serve You well. Give her a heart for the people of Virginia, and may she stand in the paths of righteousness in all she does. Give her a heart of compassion towards all people, and even when she may disagree, may she have the heart of a peacemaker. Show her the truth that she may vote righteously and justly.
