Steve Hobbs (D)

Father, I pray that Secretary of State Hobbs may correct his opponents with gentleness. So that God may perhaps grant both Secretary of State Hobbs and his opponent repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25). May they both come to trust Jesus as their Savior.

Father, I pray that Your Word would be a lamp to Secretary Hobb's feet and a light to his path. May he seek You for wisdom first. (Psalm 119:105). May he come to know Jesus as his Savior.

Father, I pray that Secretary Hobbs will read the Bible and study it to know more about You so that grace and peace will be multiplied to him. (2 Peter 1:2). May he come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. May he choose to follow Him.

Father, I pray for Secretary Hobbs to be delivered from self-focused ambition and to adopt a humble spirit before You and the electorate. Jeremiah 9:23-24 states: Thus says the�Lord:�"Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches,�but�let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the�Lord�who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.�For in these things I delight, declares the�Lord." I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, this is Easter weekend. I pray that Secretary Hobbs would be offered the opportunity to reflect on the meaning of this season. I pray there would be someone who would be bold enough to proclaim the evil that mankind evidences apart from You. May he see Jesus as the provision to breach the evil that keeps Your creation from relationship with You. Lord Jesus, thank You for the sacrifice You made on our behalf. It is in Your name I pray, Amen.

Lord, our nation was built on the foundation of the Christian faith (1 Corinthians 3:11). I pray for Secretary of State Hobbs to realize this. Our founding document, the Constitution, is a part of this foundation. So much is under attack in our country but I especially grieve the attack on the nuclear family. Psalm 11:3 states "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" What we do is pray for leaders like Secretary of State Hobbs to see the effects on righteousness of their policies. May they repent of evil done and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. In His name, Amen.

Father, I pray for Secretary Hobbs to open his heart to hear God's message in His Word.�May he repent of evils that are being done in the state of Washington. May he come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.
