John Hickenlooper (D)

Father, I lift up Senator John Hickenlooper during this Christmas season. May he see the truth that this is more than a cultural holiday, but a time to lift up Jesus as not just a babe, but as a coming King. May he seek your wisdom and see you as the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that you desire true life for him.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity and privilege of adding my voice to the spirit filled prayers that are being lifted by Your prayer warriors on behalf of John Hickenlooper. We pray that he cries out to You for mercy and salvation. Only You, Heavenly Father, knows where his heart stands. If John Hickenlooper refuses to be saved and to honor You and walk in righteousness and justice, we pray that his days in office will be few (Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Proverbs 8:20) and that another, who is a spirit filled believer in Christ be elected to take his place (Psalm 109:8), according to Your will and Your plans for the state of Colorado and for America. In Jesus name, Amen.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Senator John Hickenlooper We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Senator Hickenlooper. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Senator Hickenlooper be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Colorado and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the Senate. Father, we live in a divided nation where our two parties in Congress are divided and constantly blaming the other side for the mess this nation finds itself. My prayer is that Senator Hickenlooper would work to establish unity and safeguard the nation's trust and the truth on which this nation was established. May he honor the Constitution and the laws he swore to uphold when he was sworn into office. Teach him Your ways, and guide him into all truth. Give him a discerning heart and one who protects the sanctity of human life at every stage of life. May he support the nation of Israel and in doing so bless our nation. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Father, I pray for Senator John Hickenlooper. Thank you for his service to our country. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and may he seek you for wisdom, realizing he has no true wisdom in himself. Open his heart to the truth of the gospel. Surround him with godly people who will share Jesus with him. May he see Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and find no satisfaction in life apart from Jesus.
