Steve Elkins (D)

Dear Lord, please lead Representative Steve Elkins in the path of righteousness and do not allow him to be swayed by ungodly counsel and the opinions of man. Grant him discernment, and eyes to see and ears to hear. Open his eyes to the true battle that surrounds Washington DC and the nation. May it become clear to him that what may appear to be "good" may be evil. Do not allow him to compromise based on fear and intimidation. Give him the courage to do the right thing and to speak out against evil. Change his heart regarding the sanctity of human life and may he stand for the Constitution. I pray that he knows You, Lord, and the hope to which You have called him. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Father I speak a great blessing upon this man who has chosen to enter the public arena known as politics to represent his district and its people. By your Holy Spirit give him great wisdom in discernment of intents of those presenting positions before him. Let him know that which is true, that which is deceitful, and that which is falsehood that he may maintain a path of righteous choices before you and before the people of his district. There is much pressure upon him to chose that which is best for peoples in other places and state. May he always be for those whom he represents. Keep his feet solidly upon the rock of the word of God which is truth and light. may any deceptions appear to him as vapor and smoke not reality that he may always chose rightly. Amen and Amen

I pray, in the name of Jesus, for Representative Steve Elkins. Dear Heavenly Father, please surround him by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. I pray in agreement with prayer warriors for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. Elkins to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his heart. We pray that Steve Elkins is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name Amen
