Lloyd Smucker (R)

As spirit filled Christian prayer warriors, we continue to lift Representative Lloyd Smucker to You, Lord. We pray for his ears to hear and his eyes to see all that You are speaking into his spirit as he represents the 11th Congressional district of Pennsylvania in the House of Representatives. Bring Your Words to his remembrance when difficult decisions are before him. Convict Representative Smucker to put Your standards first and to uphold Your plan for America. Bring to his memory that we are meant to be one nation under God. Remind him of words written in 1776, "We, the people of Pennsylvania, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, and humbly invoking His guidance..." We pray for the protection of Your angel armies from unrighteousness and injustice that the enemy has unleashed in America. Cause Mr Smucker to become aware that Your plan for America is one of justice, righteousness and moral standards as written in Your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen

Ephesians 5: 6-21(NASB)" See that�no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things�the wrath of God comes upon�the�sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become�partners with them;�for�you were once�darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as�children of light (for�the fruit of the light�consists�in all�goodness, righteousness, and truth),�as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.�Do not participate in the useless�deeds of�darkness, but instead even�expose them;�for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.�But all things become visible�when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.�For this reason�it says, "Awake, sleeper, And arise from�the dead, And Christ�will shine on you." I pray that you�understand the fear of the LORD so that you will walk as a wise person,�making the most of your time, because�the days are evil and are understanding what the will of the Lord�is.�I pray that you will be�filled with the Holy Spirit,�speaking to�fellow Christians and Jewish people in�psalms and�hymns and spiritual�songs,�singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord;�always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to�our�God and Father;�and subject yourselves to one another in the�fear of Christ."

I pray, in the name of Jesus, over Representative Lloyd Smucker: that he is convicted to accept Your Word, God, as his standard, to store up Your commands within him, to turn his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding. I pray he is convicted to call out for insight, cry aloud for understanding, to apply the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God (Proverbs 2: 1-19). We pray that You enable him to, thus, "...walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land and the unfaithful will be torn from it" (Proverbs 2: 21-22). In Jesus name, Amen.

Lord God, we intercede for Representative Lloyd Smucker. We pray that first and foremost he would live in the fear of God, seeing and understanding Your sovereignty and awesomeness. We pray that at every turn and with every decision, plan or action, Mr. Smucker would seek Your truth, Your wisdom and Your strength to take and lead in right paths. We pray that Representative Smucker would be an instrument of Your help and Your healing for our nation and for his state of Pennsylvania. Guide his steps, Lord and guard his heart that he would be a godly leader, empowered by Your Spirit and protected by Your righteous right hand. We lift Lloyd Smucker before You, giving You all glory, honor and praise for what You are doing and will do in and through his life and work. We acknowledge and fall upon the ultimate authority and power of Jesus to accomplish that for which we pray. Amen

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity and privilege of adding my voice to the spirit filled prayers that are being lifted by Your prayer warriors on behalf of Lloyd Smucker. We pray that he cries out to You for mercy and salvation. Only You, Heavenly Father, knows where his heart stands. If Lloyd Smucker refuses to be saved and to honor You and walk in righteousness and justice, we pray that his days in office will be few (Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Proverbs 8:20) and that another, who is a spirit filled believer in Christ be elected to take his place (Psalm 109:8). We pray that he is seeking Your wisdom and guidance, according to Your will and Your plans for the state of Pennsylvania and for America. In Jesus name, Amen.

I want to pray for our leaders in our nation and for Gods will and plan and for His Glory to be seen in our lives. For Psalm 23 and for our teachers and students in all of our universities and families.
