Father, thank you for Chris Van Hollen. May he see himself as you see him and not look to his own wisdom but to you. May he not serve for power or money, but to glorify you. Give him repentance for sin. Give him a love of unborn children, realizing that they are human beings from the moment of conception and thus deserving of protection, not horrible death. Protect him and his family.

Heavenly Father, I thank YOU for this place of thanksgiving as I lift up Senator Chris Van Hollen to You. I pray that he would seek you and find you and draw near to you while you may be found. May Senator Chris Van Hollen find joy that is only found in Your presence and draw strength from you for his daily tasks. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen.

Lord, I thank You for Senator Chris Van Hollen, bless and protect him. I pray that You draw his heart close to You and that he holds strongly to biblical values as he represents our state in US senate, that he does not waiver in what is right and godly.
