Humility and Godly wisdom.

Father, I bring Senator Jeanne Shaheen before You, and I ask that You would bless her and guide her in every area of her private, personal life to her position within the Senate in our government. In reading her biography, dear Father, I see that she has worked many hard, long years serving her constituents. May she be blessed and encouraged for her compassion for her State and for the welfare of America. As a former educator she has a heart to see that the system teaches, trains, supports, and protects our children in all phases of their education. Please give her your wisdom Lord in how to accomplish these tasks well and in accordance with Your good and perfect will. Youth are so impressionable, and Lord they need protection and guidance. Father, bless her efforts to use commonsense government practices to deal with many of the issues that are facing our nation today, such as financial accountability, the national security, health care, support and assistance for our veterans and active military. Please may she walk in solidarity with our President and members of the administration, as You command us to do. Teach her when to speak up and against and in the proper way, so we would not lose the respect of other nations, especially those who walk in ways counter to ours. Teach us to love our enemies and work with them. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
