Bobby Scott (D)

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I lift up Representative Bobby Scott and I pray that You would surround him with Godly counsel. I pray that he would have an encounter with the Love of God and have a revelation of Your Goodness, that he would be fully born-again and living out righteousness in his capacity as Representative here in Virginia.

Heavenly Father, we Pray Representative Bobby Scott is convicted that he is created in Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, word, decision and action against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Scott sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill (Matthew 5:14) for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven (Rev. 14:6). We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken by Christian prayer warriors, into the life of Bobby Scott has taken deep root. We pray he has been convicted to see himself as You see him, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10). We pray that Representative Scott is convicted of John 3:16, "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding," (Psalm 111:10) We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24), and that he is convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (James 1:5) and Your will as he represents the state of Virginia and the United States of America. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father, give us local leaders, who trust in You with all their heart; who will not lean on their own understanding. Who, like the sons of Issachar, understand the times, with knowledge of what their communities must do; who are willing to follow Holy Spirit at all costs. We ask that You, our Father of glory, "give to Representative Bobby Scott a spirit of wisdom and of revelation of knowledge of You. We pray that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened- remove veils- so that he will know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in us, the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe." May the Scriptures not depart from his mouth; may he meditate on them day and night, so that his heart will not be seared and hardened against Your Truth and Righteousness. Father, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as we stand in the gap for Representative Bobby Scott. Dear Heavenly Father, please surround him by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. I pray in agreement with prayer warriors for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. Scott to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his heart. We pray that Bobby Scott is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5).
