Steve Otis (D)

Lord God, I lift up Assemblyman Otis to You and ask that You guide him and lead him in his role in the Assembly. I pray that he would know the hope to which he has been called and that He knows You and walks according to Your laws. May the Word of God be a lamp unto his feet and light unto his path. May he seek Your guidance and walk in integrity and humility as he serves others. Give him a heart for ensuring the safety of our children in the educational system. May he work in support of parents and teachers ensuring the children's safety and a solid, wholesome education, meeting the educational support and needs of all children. Give him wisdom and courage as he tackles the needs of his State and nation. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

The 118th Congress has begun and many other legislative bodies throughout our land. it is clear that what is needed from our leaders is COURAGE. I am praying for that for you! Courage to look for and uphold truth. Courage to hold others accountable. Courage to support what is right even when it's not popular. I want you to know that hundreds of thousands of people of faith like me are praying for leaders like you--by name. Know you are not facing your job in congress alone. The health, welfare and safety of you, your family, your staff and their loved ones are prayed for often. May you always stand upon the righteous rock of truth and not the sands of the words of man. Amen and Amen.

I pray in agreement with prayer warriors engaged in spiritual warfare on behalf of Assemblyman Steve Otis. We lift him up, stand in the gap under the authority Jesus gives His disciples in Matthew 28:18-19, and pray in Jesus' name that he be surrounded by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. We pray in Jesus' name for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. Otis to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his spirit. We pray that Steve Otis is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name, Amen.
