Father, You alone know the heart of a man, so I bring Representative McGovern before Your throne of grace asking for Your wisdom. He's served Congress for many years, and he has tried to listen to the needs of his constituents as well as observe the chaos of the present age. Thank You for his desire to defend our Constitution and to support and defend the rights of our veterans and military. I pray that Your word would be a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path, a divine guide he seeks for truth and guidance. Open his eyes to see that You created life, and You have a plan for each one. As he strives to fight for the rights of others, may he see with clarity that human life begins at conception and should be protected as the most vulnerable. Give him wisdom to discern truth. Bless his efforts in Congress to work in cooperation with both parties. Give him the courage to do the right thing, even when it is not popular. Bless him and his family and encourage them and strengthen them to love and care for each other and to always put You first. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Father, I pray for Jim McGovern. Thank you for his service to you and to our country. May he seek you for wisdom and may he serve in integrity, not in seeking fame, power, or money. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a walk with you through Jesus Christ. Protect him and his family.

Father and Christ Jesus, We look to You for wisdom, guidance, and rescue from enemy deception. Please give our lawmakers clear vision to see right from wrong and to execute justice and righteousness in all their doings.

Dear Lord thank you for this man's heart to willingly serve in his state. We ask that Mr. McGovern fully trust you as his confidante. Give him your protection and allow him to see all You have done for him out of Your abundant love.
