Father, I pray for Paul Tonko. May he look to you for wisdom in his decisions. Turn his heart to you. May he walk in integrity. Give him a love of unborn children, seeing them as fully human and give him a desire to protect them and pregnancy resource centers that serve babies and their moms. Protect him and his family.

Father God, Merciful and mighty. May your grace and mercy abound to this servant of the people of his state before the nation. In these confusing times grant wisdom, understanding, and judgement to this most special one who choses to serve rather than be served. Provide this most precious servant the wisdom of the men of Issachar, who had understanding of the times, and knew what the nation should do. Father, please bless the life and service of Representative Tonko, who desires to follow the admonition of Your word in Micah 6:8 that describes what You require of men, To walk justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with his God. This verse has great meaning for me, and since he used this scripture in one of his descriptions, I feel that it must hold meaning for his life and work as well. Please continue to direct his path, and may he trust You with all his heart, not leaning to his own understanding, but seeking Your truth and wisdom in each area of his life. Thank you for his clear devotion for the veterans who have served our nation so honorably and selflessly. I pray that he will likewise support our active military ensuring that they have whatever is needed to protect and defend our nation. Open his eyes to see Your truth, Lord, and guide his hand according to Your word. Watch over him, I pray, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
