Mark Warner (D)

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray for my senator, Mark Warner. I pray that You would surround him with Godly counsel that would guide him to make Godly decisions and that he would be convicted of his political stances that do not align with Your Word. I pray for a personal revelation of Your love that he would receive you as his Lord and Savior.

Dear Lord, I lift up Senator Mark Warner. I ask that you bless him and his family. May he know and follow your ways and not the ways of the world. Please give him the strength to withstand the lies of the enemy. Place people in his life that will lead him to follow in your footsteps so that he may then become a light for you and lead others to you Lord. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, I lift up Senator Mark Warner. May he seek your wisdom in decisions for our nation. Give him a desire to walk in your ways, hearing your words, and knowing the truth that is Jesus. May he not serve for fame or money, but to honor you, God of the Universe. May he have a desire to protect our children from all that is harming them. Open his heart and his mind to what is evil in your sight. Protect him and his family.

The wisest man in history, King Solomon, said that "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" Proverbs 14:34. Lord God, we pray that the wisdom of these words will serve as a guide to Senator Mark Warner. May his eyes be opened to correctly see Your greatness and awesomeness. May he be overcome with the fear of the Lord and not with fear of man or circumstance. Lord, we pray that Mr. Warner would seek and follow Your wisdom, Your Truth and Your leading, so that as he does, he will be instrumental in leading America in righteousness. Lord, please guide Mark Warner's steps and guard his heart and mind. Lead him in the way of everlasting truth and Your everlasting Kingdom. Thus will his life and work be honorable to You and of great benefit to his fellow citizens. We pray this in the authority and power of the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Warner know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight, and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we Pray Senator Mark Warner is convicted that he is created in Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, word, decision and action against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Warner sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill (Matthew 5:14) for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven (Rev. 14:6). We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen
