Jeff Merkley (D)

Father God, our One True God, our Heavenly Father. I pray today for Mr Merkley, that he will be on bended knee and that he prostrates himself before your Holy Throne. I pray that he confesses his sins, sins against you, sins against humanity, sins that he has committed. I pray that he confesses his sins for his promoting the death of unborn babies - which is murder, confesses his numerous and continuous lies, confesses his sins of promoting and indoctrinating our children of transgenderism - which is mutilation and destroying of what You created perfectly, and he confesses his hatred of the United States, Israel and his hatred of You. Holy One of Israel I ask that You open his heart, open his ears, open his soul to Your Holy Word, to Your Voice, to Your Commandments. I pray that he will receive You with all of his heart, soul and strength and he will confess that You are our One True God and be saved by the Power of Your Holy Name and the Power of the Blood of Yeshua. I pray this in Your Most Holy Name, Yeshua - Jesus, Amen.

Father, I pray for Jeff Merkley. Thank you for his service to our country. May he seek your wisdom as he decides what is right for our country. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and the knowledge that only through you is that hunger and thirst satisfied. May he not have idols of money or power but desire to do what is right for our country.

Heavenly Father, we Pray Senator Jeff Merkley is convicted that he is created in Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, word, decision and action against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Merkley sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill (Matthew 5:14) for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven (Rev. 14:6). We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen

Lord, God, You know better than anyone how great our need is in America and how great are the dangers surrounding us and in us. These are far beyond human ability to solve or remedy. We need Your wisdom, Your discernment, Your leading, Your protection, Your provision and we need leaders who will seek these from You, and steward them well as You mercifully provide them. We pray that Senator Jeff Merkley would be such a leader. May he be persistent and full of courage in pursuing that which is righteous and that which is truly beneficial for the citizens of Oregon and of America. As he endeavors this, Lord we ask that You would place a mighty hedge of protection around him and all that pertains to him and that he would witness and experience the power, glory and blessing of partnering with You. In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen Merkley know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Please Father, enable Jeff to hear your voice and walk in your truth. Remind Jeff daily that your are able to guide everyone who is humble and obeys your your direction. Thank you for always speaking truth into our lives. In Jesus's name Amen
