We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Joe Courtney. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Courtney. We pray he is convicted to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Representative Courtney be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Connecticut and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives. Heavenly Father, we Pray Representative Joe Courtney is convicted that he is created in the Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (James 1:5) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, each word that he speaks, each decision he makes and each action he takes against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Courtney sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven. We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen

Heavenly Father, I lift up Representative Joe Courtney to you today. I pray for divine wisom and grace to be given unto him. That he would be surrounded by godly men and women who will provide godly counsel. If he does not know you I pray for his salvation. I pray that he will always seek you for direction in every decision he makes and every vote that he casts. Put a hedge of protection around Joe and his family - keep them safe and healthy and strong. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father, I bring Representative Joe Courtney before Your throne of grace. Please bless and protect him and his family. May he do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with his God. Remind him of Your laws on which the Constitution was written. Men who penned these laws recognized the need for righteousness and justice based on Your rules. Your way is always better, and I believe that he knows this. Remind him of the importance of life. May he stand for life from womb to tomb and honor Your creation. Give him righteous counsel that he may uphold the high standards on which our nation was established. And may be stand beside Israel and for the sovereignty of our nation. Give him wisdom and understanding. Draw him close to You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Lord, I pray for Joe Courtney to have a reverential fear of you, and to put You first in all his leadership decisions for this Country. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Holy God, reveal Yourself to Joe Courtney in an unmistakable way to the end that he can no longer worship the god of his imagination but worship You in Spirit and in Truth.
