John Thune (R)

Father, thank You for Senate Majority Leader John Thune. He has chosen to serve his country and I pray he is serving You as well. While the Supreme Court is hearing a case on the constitutionality of racial gerrymandering in Louisiana's congressional district maps, I pray for Senator Thune to lead the Senate in prudence as they consider these issues. But even more important is that he work on leading the Senate to a resolution that will allow the government to open again. The shutdown is beginning to have negative effects on our citizens. I pray these things in Jesus's name. Amen.

Father, I pray for Majority Leader Thune as the government shutdown runs on. The President has said he is willing to negotiate on health care subsidies but not health care tax credits. I pray that Senator Thune would have Your wisdom and that he would communicate with the President regarding negotiation. This is a time to be tenacious in fighting for what is right but, if there is room for compromise, I pray they would work on it as long as it will benefit the American people. Free health care for illegal aliens is simply wrong. I pray for Senator Thune to work with Senator Schumer to bring the shutdown to an end. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Heavenly Father, please continue to bless and guide this man with your plans and your words as he leads. Keep him from evil and temptation, and open the ears and hearts of those he is leading. Keep him safe and give him courage to be a Godly man and a strong leader. Praise you Father.

I pray for this Senator to be honest in all his actions. Dedicated to his public service, not his own interests, and not compromise in any way with the "deep state". May the Lord guide him in the days to come to protect our country and values and erase the bad influence of past governments.
