Mike Petersen (R)

Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for Senator Mike Peterson that You would do a work in his life, in his heart that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for him and his purpose and mission in Congress. May he open his heart and mind to see Truth and not be prey to the whims and and weaknesses of society, of harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. Father, keep Sen Peterson strong in his guiding principles and stances in Congress and may he seek your guidance, your wisdom and strength that he may he be a strong voice for conservatism and our Constitutional government of freedoms, rights and of Law and Order. Place your hedge of protection over him and his family. Lord God, may it be your will to send the winds of your Holy Spirit over America to bring spiritual awakening and bring a return to our Judea-Christian heritage and Constitution Republic government. Thank you of God for hearing our pleas and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw it, but sweep the nation with a cleaning spirit.

Father, In the Precious name of Jesus, Lamb of God so precious. I stand forth in prayer for this servant of the people. Father protect from every lie, trick and deciet of the enemy. Cover family, loved ones, staff, and their families with the wings of the Almighty God. Defend their health, persons, and properties. Keep them in safe. Make straight their paths. Give to your servant the Wisdom of Soloman and the heart of David. May the prayers of your people remove the obstacles in their paths. Light their way in darkness. Bring clear understanding of true purposes in what comes before them. May their constituents prosper in the times ahead. Make clear the path of righteousness, and the true balance of justice in all things. Amen

Lord God, please bless and keep Senator Petersen and his family safely in the palm of Your hand, leading him in the way he should go, directing him in truth and wisdom as he serves our nation in the Senate. May he have wisdom and understanding as he works for the welfare of others, always seeking guidance from godly advisers and desiring only to walk in Your will and purpose. May he be strengthened and encouraged by those who seek You first and make seeking You a priority for each day. Give him a heart for the sanctity of human life not only for the unborn but also for the elderly and vulnerable who are unable to speak up and out for themselves. Give him courage and boldness to always do the right thing, even when he knows it is not popular. May he walk in integrity and righteousness. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I ask that Mike Petersen be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that he walks worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; in Jesus name, amen. (1 Col:1:9-10)

I pray in agreement with prayer warriors engaged in spiritual warfare on behalf of Senator Mike Petersen. We lift him up, stand in the gap under the authority Jesus gives His disciples in Matthew 28:18-19, and pray in Jesus' name that he be surrounded by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. We pray in Jesus' name for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. Petersen to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his spirit. We pray that Mike Petersen is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name, Amen.
