Tom Carper (D)

Father God, again a person I do not know how to pray for; I do not know this man or his heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. I commit Senator Tom Carper to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of his eternal soul and his life, that he might be redeemed and that he might make a positive impact on other lives he encounters. Lord, draw him unto yourself and Your purpose for his life. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this man that You would do a work in his life, in his heart that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for his life and his purpose and mission in Government. May he open his heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. May he not be just another repetitive voice of the party. Thank you o' God for hearing our pleas and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw it, but sweep the nation with Your Spirit. Awaken the people and show them, Oh Lord, who you are.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Senator Tom Carper. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Senator Carper. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Senator Carper be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Delaware and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the Senate. Lord God, to You belongs all wisdom, all power and all glory! To You, alone, belongs all worship and praise! And it is to You, alone, that we humbly request divine help and guidance and strength and courage and hearts willing to receive and act upon that which we pray for. Senator Tom Carper is no different. First and foremost, we pray that Senator Carper would seek You, know You and follow You and in so doing, would usher in the blessings of God into his state and into this nation. For the benefit of many, his position requires he be greatly attuned to You, greatly reliant upon You, and greatly guided by Your unchanging Truth. For these things we pray on behalf of Mr. Carper, his office, his home and his duty. May Your hand be heavy upon Senator Tom Carper, working in him the godly leader that is needful. We humbly ask this in the power and authority of the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Carper know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

I pray you accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior. That is the most important action you can take while on this Earth.

Heavenly Father, we Pray Senator Tom Carper is convicted that he is created in Your image; woven together in the womb of his mother by Your hands, from conception to birth, for Your purpose and Your plan (Psalm 139:13-16) at this time in history. Lord God, we pray he be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and to demand of himself honesty, integrity, and loyalty (Psalm 26, Proverbs 11:3), righteousness and justice (Proverbs 21:15). We pray he is convicted to measure every thought, word, decision and action against Your precepts (Psalm 111:10). We pray Mr. Carper sees our constitution as our founding fathers intended. May he be convicted that America was discovered, explored, settled and founded as Your city on a hill (Matthew 5:14) for the purpose of sending Your message of Salvation to every person, place, tribe and nation under heaven (Rev. 14:6). We pray that he is convicted that he must be "prepared to give an account to Almighty God" (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). In Jesus name, Amen
