Father God, I stand in the gap for Texas Representative Tony Gonzales, praying that his personal, family and political life would be lived out in the light of Your truth, wisdom and righteousness that he, his household and those he serves would be blessed by the hope, presence and promise You, alone, give. Praise to Jesus Christ who lives and reigns forever! Amen

Lord God, Almighty, Adonai, I lift up your servant, Representative Tony Gonzales to you. I pray for his faith and his leadership. I thank you for his military service for America and all the other paths he has taken to be prepared for the work you have for him to do now in this position. I pray he will make every effort to add to his faith; to his faith goodness; to his goodness knowledge; to his knowledge self-control; to his self control perseverance; to his perseverance godliness; to his godliness mutual affection; and to his mutual affection love. With these qualities focused on You Lord Jesus Christ, he will be effective and productive in this role of Representative and he will do justice, have mercy and walk humbly and do work for you, Lord. May his life reflect you and be a witness to your goodness and love. In the name of Jesus Amen.

We pray to empower your holy, zealous spiritual vitality towards faith-belief virtue/volition in profession-of-faith: Jesus is Lord. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Father, thank You for Representative Gonzales' long tour of duty in military service to our nation and for his understanding of the type of support needed to ensure a strong military. Likewise he understands the threats coming from other nation who mean us harm, so please encourage him and grant him wisdom and discernment as he works in Congress to protect our nation and our work from foreign threats. Please give him a heart to stand beside Israel. May he continue to speak for strong borders and the protection of all those attempting to enter our nation as well as protecting the citizens of this nation from potential harm from cartels and traffickers. Protect our children and each innocent person involved in this difficulty. Strengthen and encourage him as he works for solutions and does not listen to the shallow promises or opinions of others. May he keep his eyes on You as the Author and Finisher of his faith. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken by Christian prayer warriors, into the life of Tony Gonzales has taken deep root. We pray he has been convicted to see himself as You see him, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) at this time in history. We pray that Representative Gonzales is convicted of John 3:16, that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "...The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding," (Job 28:28). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24), and that he is convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he represents the state of Texas.
