Roger Marshall (R)

Our most gracious Heavenly Father, You have placed Roger Marshall in a strategic position as Senator in the state of Kansas. We pray his mind and heart will be attuned to You, constantly seeking Your Truth, discernment, wisdom and guidance and in return, speaking, planning and acting upon all that You provide. We pray that Senator Marshall will be a "man after Your own heart" and so would seek and experience an ever-deepening relationship with You, Jesus--the One who is above all things. Surround him and all that concerns him with a hedge of protection. May Your purposes for Kansas and America be carried out in and through the life and work of Mr. Roger Marshall. In the authority and power of the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Marshall know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Thank you, Lord, for Senator Marshall's strong stance for life. Please give him Your wisdom and strength.

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken into the life of Senator Roger Marshall, has taken deep root. I pray he is seeing himself as created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10). I pray that Roger Marshall is convicted of John 3:16, "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding," (Psalm 111:10) I pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). Praying for Justice Marshall that he will continue to vote for the most vulnerable citizens there are--the unborn. I pray for the courts to realize there are better alternatives than abortion. Please protect Justice Marshall and his family members from the all-out assault Satan is leveling against those who are voting their convictions to turn America around and return her to the basic core values our nation was founded upon. May God exhibit His power in the face of what is coming. Amen.
