Michael O'Donnell (R)

Father, I lift up Representative Michael O'Donnell. May he seek your wisdom as he serves Missouri. May he not serve for money or power but in obedience to you. May he hunger and thirst for righteousness and walk in close fellowship with you through Jesus. Give him open eyes to see truth and protect him from the enemy.

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken by Christian prayer warriors, into the life of Michael O'Donnell has taken deep root. We pray he has been convicted to see himself as You see him, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) at this time in history. We pray that Representative O'Donnell is convicted of John 3:16, that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "...The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding," (Job 28:28). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24), and that he is convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he represents Missouri in the House of Representatives. Lord God of heaven, I pray that Representative Michael O'Donnell would be instructed by Your Spirit, led by Your Voice and directed by Your hand. May the words of his mouth and the meditations of his heart be pleasing to You, Lord. May the fruits of his labor bring You honor and work righteousness and blessing for those whom he is privileged to serve. Guide Representative O'Donnell's steps and guard his heart in Christ Jesus. Strengthen him in well-doing and keep him from sin. I pray this in the authority and power of Jesus Christ. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Rep. O'Donnell know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight, and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

I pray, in the name of Jesus, for Representative Michael O'Donnell. Dear Heavenly Father, please surround him by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. I pray in agreement with prayer warriors for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. O'Donnell to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his heart. We pray that Michael O'Donnell is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name, Amen.

Father God, maker of heaven and earth...supreme ruler over all there is, we lift Representative Michael O'Donnell to You. There is not enough human wisdom adequate to do his job, so we pray that You will impart divine wisdom and strength and courage to him and that he will gratefully receive these from You. As Your Spirit leads him toward and in paths of righteousness, we pray that he would willingly follow Your leading that he would be a godly person put in this position to move government in ways that bless You and truly help the people he represents. May his advisors and staff also know and be sensitive to Your leading and seekers of Your truth. We pray that Your mighty hand would bless and protect Mr. O'Donnell and his family.
