Father, I ask Your blessings over Representative Kennedy as she works diligently and courageously for the welfare and support of the constituents of her area of the State of Connecticut. Give her clear direction as she works with honestly, walking in integrity, in making decisions and legislation based on what is needed for the welfare and safety of all people of her State and not based on what is popular. May she work across party lines and differences to make the right decisions when considering laws that protect and guide the future of the State. Open her eyes to the truth and not to opinions of others. Give her wisdom and clear focus, protecting the innocent and the weak. Lord, so many problems exist in our nation, and the solutions are based on individual needs. May she support our Constitution and respect leadership, speaking up respectfully when there is disagreement, and not airing differences publicly rather working face to face, issue to issue, seeking common ground based on truth.
