Mitt Romney (R)

Father God, I do know about this person, but I do not truly know how to pray for him; I do not know his heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. I think he is lost and in confusion about who you really are and Who Jesus is. I commit Senator Mitt Romney to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of his eternal soul and his life, that he might be redeemed and that he might make a positive impact on other lives he encounters. Lord, draw him unto yourself and Your purpose for his life. Open his eyes, his heart, his mind. He claims he is a Republican, but I am not sure if he is a true conservative; he seems to have a lot of questionable ideologies and policies that do not support Pro-America, Pro-religion/Judeo-Christian ideals and Pro-Constitutionalism. For me this is worrisome; so I pray God give him understanding and discernment and grant him real wisdom. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this man that You would do a work in his life, in his heart that he might see Your Will and discern your direction for his life and his purpose and mission in Government and as a legislator. May he open his heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. Thank you o' God for hearing our pleas and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw your favor and sustainment, but sweep the nation with the power of Your Spirit.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity and privilege of adding my voice to the spirit filled prayers that are being lifted by Your prayer warriors on behalf of Mitt Romney. We pray that he cries out to You for mercy and salvation. Only You, Heavenly Father, knows where his heart stands. If Mitt Romney refuses to be saved and to honor You and walk in righteousness and justice, we pray that his days in office will be few (Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Proverbs 8:20) and that another, who is a spirit filled believer in Christ be elected to take his place (Psalm 109:8), according to Your will and Your plans for the state of Utah and for America. In Jesus name, Amen.

Now and forever, Lord, Your Word is truth. Now and forever, Your Son, Jesus Christ, is the way, the truth and the life. Before You, Lord, I intercede on behalf of Senator Mitt Romney. Grant him wisdom to seek truth, discernment to recognize truth, courage to stand on truth, discipline to live out truth and humility to receive with thanksgiving that which You grant him. In this way, his plans and actions will be marked by fruitfulness. In this way, he will be blessed and he will be a blessing, as in his life and in his position, You are honored. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Romney know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight, and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Lord God, You alone are worthy of honor and praise for You have created all things and for Your pleasure all things were created. You created Mitt Romney with a destiny for his life and I pray that Your Truth and Your Holy Spirit be his guide to fulfilling Your purposes.
