Father, I pray for Sean Casten. Thank you for his service to you and to our country. May he seek you for wisdom and serve you in honesty and humility. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a spirit of repentance for sin in his life. May he desire to walk with you through Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Protect him and his family.

Heavenly Father, I pray today for Rep. Sean Casten, who serves the people of District 6 of Illinois. I ask that his service to them and our nation would result in their protection and grant them peaceful lives, as you have described the purpose of government in your Word. Please help Rep. Casten to grow in wisdom and seek your guidance in all his decisions. Surround him closely with people who are both knowledgeable and wise in your ways, that he may receive good counsel and continue to grow in his own character and integrity. I ask that your Spirit help him to remove any self aggrandizement from his motives, that his service will be good and pure in your sight and valuable to the people of District 6 and our nation. Please protect him and his family and supply their needs, as he walks in humility before you.

Lord God, Heavenly Father, forgive me my struggles to pray for democratic representatives. I just don't know to pray for people with whom I have ideological, historical, cultural/lifestyle, spiritual differences of understanding government and America, so I commit them to you for your working in their lives and their mindset. Only your spirit can bring understanding and common ground. I thank you God that you love each of us and you have provided Jesus, our Savior, our Counselor and guide for all. I pray that Your Spirit will be working in and around the life and circumstances of Representative Sean Casten. That he will open his heart and mind for your wisdom as he sits in Congress and represents the people. Thank you, Lord God, for hearing our pleas and petitions; may Jesus, our advocator take our mumblings and moaning unto your throne for your working and perfect will for Mr. Casten. May it be your desire and your will to keep your hand on America and to sweep the land with Your Spirit for awakening, repentance and renewal.

Father, I pray for Sean Casten. Thank you for his service to you and to our country. May he seek you for wisdom and discernment about the way he votes for legislation. May he hunger and thirst for righteousness and life with you through Jesus Christ, Creator and Savior. Protect him and his family.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Sean Casten. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Casten. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgressions and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his Savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Sean Casten be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Illinois and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives.
