Father God I lift this representative of the people of her district and state before the congress in prayer. Representing the views, values, and protecting their unique abilities to contribute to this great nation. Give unto her a unique understanding in these confusing and dificult times. Make clear the intent within legislation brought before her. Give her perfect values to justly weigh these matters before the congress and the nation. Grant special health, safety, and prosperity to her, her family, and the people she represents before the nation. Preserve that which is special and dear to her. In Jesus name I pray. Manifest Your presence in her life, keep her safe, and continue to use her in all situations to bring unity to Congress. Draw her closely to Your side as the Author and Finisher of her life. Oh, our Father, Who Cares so much for us, Your fallen children. We try our best to follow in Your Footsteps, but -- like in the poem -- we can only show Your Footprints where we travel with You. Thank You so much for being there and holding us up when we are too worn-out to go on. Be with Rep. Scanlon, who has devoted a good portion of her life to representing We the People. Give her Your Wisdom in decisions and life. Be with her family and friends; keep her comforted about them. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Father in Heaven, I pray for Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon to be aware of the importance of seeking your wisdom above the earthly wisdom of our culture. I ask you to place around her people of integrity and courage to encourage her in right judgement. Please protect her and her family, and develop in her the motive of service to the people of her District and our country over money and power.

Lord God, the intercessors of our nation raise the health, safety, and needs of this public servant before you in prayer. Grant unto her the wisdom as Soloman had in political and personal things. We pray that the eyes of her understanding be enlightened that she know the hope of your calling. May she be as the men of Issacar that had understanding of the times and knew what their nation ought to do. Give true insight into the future effects of each issue brought before her. Light her pathway with truth and provide her a just balance in all things represented to her. Guard and protect her, in health, welfare and prosperity, and those she loves and those she serves. Give special grace to her staff to accurately represent her positions with integrity. Amen and Amen.

Father, please bless Representative Scanlon as she carries out her duties within Congress. May she purpose to work sensibly with members of both parties to ensure the people are represented well. Give her wisdom and discernment, and may she walk in integrity and with justice. Direct her regarding safety at our borders and on the handling of immigration matters. I know this is a difficult matter, Lord, but our nation must be protected from those who do wrongful things. Please let her continue to support those immigrants who want to make the US their home, by assisting them with pursuing the proper process to become a US citizen. May she uphold and protect our Constitution and protect the sanctity of human life.. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
