Lord God Alighty, look down upon this man who has chosen to serve in the body known as politics. I lift him before you this late night hour in prayer for protection, health, and safety at home, on travel and when with legislature duties. As the Apostle Paul prayed, so to do I, that the eyes of his understanding be enlightened to see the hope of and in his calling to serve his state. Grant him the understanding of the men of Issachar who had understanding of the times, and knew what their nation Israel ought to do. Guard his reputation each and every day, that no wrongful purpose be concealed from him, and he has clear sight of the right path and correct answer. Bless his staff, family, those he loves, and those he serves with safety, health, and divine protection. Guard his decisions from those who would deceive to harm his name and reputation. In Jesus Holy Name Amen, Amen.

Father, I ask Your blessings and Your guidance over Representative Garcia as he serves our Congress. I pray that he knows You, Father, and that he desires to walk according to Your ways. May he call upon You and seek You with all his heart. Open his eyes to see truth, and may he not be too eager to accept what others are saying is truth. May he seek truth and walk in integrity in all ways. Encourage him as he works with the people he serves. Give him a heart of compassion, a hearing ear, and a compassionate heart. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Father, I pray that You would open his heart to hear and respond to the gospel message if he does not know You. Protect him from the influence of the evil one. Deliver him from opinions contrary to Your Word. Please give him the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. In Jesus' name. Amen.

We pray (first of all, according to 1 Tim. 2:1-4) for all people, especially those in positions of power and influence. Lead them to know You personally and intimately, to create just laws and abandon unjust ones; to make just rulings; to establish real enforcement that brings tangible change to mitigate social vices and bring wholeness; to create a fair and equitable society so we can live peaceful and quiet lives according to Your Word and promise.

Father God, king of the universe and creator of all things, I bring before you today Representative Jesus Garcia of Illinois, asking for your kindness and mercy in his life as he serves you by serving the people of his district and our nation. I ask for your guidance and wisdom as he seeks to accomplish your purpose for him. Please give him courage to stand for your truth and righteousness as he deals with the complex issues of this time in the life of our country. May he learn to hear your voice above the loud voices of the world. Please give him and his family safety and peace from above, as is the purpose you established for government to provide for its citizens.
