Steve Daines (R)

Father, I thank You for Senator Daines commitment to life evidenced by his introduction of legislation that protects expectant mothers and their babies in utero from the abortion pill. Americans have blood on their hands due to the promotion of abortion. I know You are pleased when the courageous stand up for life. I also pray that Your Word would be a lamp to Senator Daines' feet and a light to his path. May he seek You for wisdom first. (Psalm 119:105).

Father, I pray for Steve Daines. Thank you for his service to you and to our country. May he seek you for wisdom. May he serve in honesty and humility and not for power or money. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a walk with you through Jesus Christ and repentance for sin in his life. Protect him and his family.

Father, I pray for Senator Steve Daines. Thank you for his service to our country. May he look to you for wisdom, realizing that he has none of his own. I pray the fear of the Lord would be his motivation and he would not look to the idols of riches or fame or power. May he love you above all else and live his life for you

Lord, America (and the states that comprise her) needs strong, courageous, discerning and godly leaders. We pray that Senator Steve Daines would be such a leader for such a time as this. Lord, we pray that You alone would guide his steps and guard his heart in all matters. We pray that he would hunger and thirst for and pursue righteousness that comes from no other source than You and the unchanging truth of Your Word. Place a hedge of protection around Mr. Daines and all that is associated with him as he endeavors to honor You and serve well the people of Montana. It is in the authority and power of the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen

Gracious Heavenly Father, may Sen. Daines know that it is Your hand and Your sovereign purpose that is keeping him and sustaining him in his divine commission. (Ps 38:12-15) Keep him, and those who serve him, safe from the enemy's snares and free from the accuser's traps. (Ps 141:9-10) By Your great hand, Lord, deal with those who oppose righteousness and justice so that all will know it is You alone who is sovereign and true. (Ps 64:6-9) I pray that you would open his heart to hear and respond to the Gospel Message if he does not know you. I pray the prayer of King Solomon in I Kings on our leader. "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that he may discern between good and evil." Pour out Your Spirit upon him. Shower him with your goodness and put a hedge of protection about him and his family. Protect him from the influence of the evil one and teach him to trust in you. Reveal to him by Your Spirit the marvelous truth of the Gospel. Give him discretion, foresight and understanding in making decisions. Grant him a heart of compassion toward those he leads and serves. Help him, like Jesus to love righteousness and hate lawlessness. Help him to have the courage to do the right thing even when urged to do the wrong thing. In the Name above all names Jesus our Messiah. Amen.

Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and the knowledge that only you can fill his hunger and thirst. May he not bend to the gods of money and power, but let you rule his life.
