Father, I pray for Ed Markey. May he seek life with you and be a glory to you in all he does. Give him a love of preborn children and a desire to protect prolife pregnancy centers who help babies and their families. May he walk in integrity and seek you wisdom and truth. Protect him and his family.

Lord God, I pray for Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey. I pray that he would pursue and know an ever deepening relationship with You through Jesus. I pray that he would have increasingly acute hearing attuned to the voice of Your Holy Spirit with a heart willing to listen and follow Your leading. Guide Mr. Markey's steps Lord and guard his heart. May he be the 'man of God' You desire and have called him to be. So will he and his constituency be blessed by Your powerful and righteous hand. This I pray in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Amen

Heavenly father, I pray for this Senator in Congress, that your surpassing judgment, and understanding, and love for life would inform every decision that he makes. I pray he votes to open the government and would be a leader among the Democrats to do the same. I pray protection for the family and loved ones of Ed Markey, MA. . Amen

Father, I lift up Senator Ed Markey. May he look to you for wisdom and life in Jesus. May he not serve for money or power, but serving to bring your light to our nation. May he make decisions based on your word. Give him repentance for any evil in his life and a desire to walk with Jesus, the source of true life and joy.

Lord God, I pray that Your Word, spoken by Christian prayer warriors, into the life of Ed Markey has taken deep root. We pray he has been convicted to see himself as You see him, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27) for Your plan and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) at this time in history. We pray that Senator Ed Markey is convicted of John 3:16, that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life," and that "...The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding," (Job 28:28). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24), and that he is convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he represents Massachusetts in the United States Senate. This has conformed us to their ways, defiled our message, and weakened our resolve. And it has no doubt offended You, as we have refused to honor Your Word and ways. Like Saul's Israel, we allow the giants to intimidate us. " We ask You to break this spirit of intimidation and its fruit of compromise off the church. Align us with Your plumbline of truth, which never has and never will change. Cause leaders in the church to fall in love with Your Word again, to have a renewed allegiance to it.
