Chuck Schumer (D)

Father, thank You for Senator Schumer. He has chosen to serve his country and I pray he would serve You as well. While the Supreme Court is hearing a case on the constitutionality of racial gerrymandering in Louisiana's congressional district maps, I pray for Senator Schumer realize that a more important issue currently is to resolve the government shutdown. I pray he would work with Senator Thune to lead the Senate to a resolution that will allow the government to open again. The shutdown is beginning to have negative effects on our citizens. I pray these things in Jesus's name. Amen.

Father, I pray for Minority Leader Schumer as the government shutdown runs on. The President has said he is willing to negotiate on health care subsidies but not health care tax credits. I pray that Senator Schumer would have Your wisdom and that he would communicate with the President regarding negotiation. This is a time to be tenacious in fighting for what is right but, if there is room for compromise, I pray they would work on it as long as it will benefit the American people. Free health care for illegal aliens is simply wrong. I pray for Senator Schumer to work with Senator Thune to bring the shutdown to an end. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Father God, Thank you for Chuck Schumer and the divine purpose for which he was created and established in this place of influence. I pray for Your purpose and plan to be fulfilled in his life and service. May Your kingdom righteousness and love take root in his heart and Your Holy Spirit guide and reign in him. I pray for Chuck Schumer to have a divine encounter with Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Greater is HE. I pray for Your kingdom to come and perfect will to be done in and through Chuck Schumer in Jesus name I pray.

Father, I pray for Minority Leader Schumer as he evaluates the benefits of federally-funded programs. I also pray that Senator Schumer would walk in Your ways so that he will be blameless before You and he will not be put to shame. (From Psalm 119:1 and 6). May he come to see Jesus as his Messiah and begin to follow Him.

Dear Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ please help this man with his spiritual matters and her earthly matters!

Father, I pray for Chuck Schumer. Thank you for his service to our country. May he not serve for money or power, but out of love for our country and our Constitution. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a life with you through Jesus Christ, Creator and Redeemer. Give him respect for the humanity of unborn children and a desire to end the slaughter of innocent children. Open his eyes to see truth and give him repentance for not worshiping you in spirit and in truth. Protect him and his family.

Heavenly Father, I pray that Senator Chuck Schumer will have his eyes and ears open to see and hear Your leadership in his position as Minority Leader in the Senate. Please surround him with men and women of integrity and wisdom in Your ways to encourage him to seek Your guidance. May it be said of him, that he served his nation, not for power and financial gain, but out of the humility that God admires and rewards.
