Dearest Lord, I come before You tonight lifting up Senator Schumer to You, asking that You would touch his heart and draw him close to You. May he know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and find true joy and peace in his life. So many things have come to pass over his career in government that it is difficult to understand certain choices he has made which have endangered and harmed our people. My prayer is that he will comes to know that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and I pray that he will seek You with all his heart, not leaning to his own understanding, but putting his faith in Your guidance and wisdom. Give him a heart to understand that life begins at conception and stand for the sanctity of human life. May he stand in support of our Constitution and uphold the standards set by our founding fathers. May be stand in support of our President and present administration rather than cause conflicts and disagreements. May he work with all members of Congress to find common ground and unity. Thank You that he cares about the constituents of New York and about the importance of the agricultural areas, strengthen the job market and supporting our military and veterans. May he be a defender of the rights of our children to be safe in their schools and receive a good education with moral quality. Dearest Lord, please lead and guide him in making decisions that are based on justice and truth, and may he walk with integrity. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

In the bible, God tells us to pray for our leaders--I am praying God's best for you! Father, thank You for Senator Schumer. He has chosen to serve his country and I pray he would serve You as well. While the Supreme Court is hearing a case on the constitutionality of racial gerrymandering in Louisiana's congressional district maps, I pray for Senator Schumer realize that a more important issue currently is to resolve the government shutdown. I pray he would work with Senator Thune to lead the Senate to a resolution that will allow the government to open again. The shutdown is beginning to have negative effects on our citizens. I pray these things in Jesus's name. Amen.

Father, I pray for Minority Leader Schumer as the government shutdown runs on. The President has said he is willing to negotiate on health care subsidies but not health care tax credits. I pray that Senator Schumer would have Your wisdom and that he would communicate with the President regarding negotiation. This is a time to be tenacious in fighting for what is right but, if there is room for compromise, I pray they would work on it as long as it will benefit the American people. Free health care for illegal aliens is simply wrong. I pray for Senator Schumer to work with Senator Thune to bring the shutdown to an end. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Father God, Thank you for Chuck Schumer and the divine purpose for which he was created and established in this place of influence. I pray for Your purpose and plan to be fulfilled in his life and service. May Your kingdom righteousness and love take root in his heart and Your Holy Spirit guide and reign in him. I pray for Chuck Schumer to have a divine encounter with Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Greater is HE. I pray for Your kingdom to come and perfect will to be done in and through Chuck Schumer in Jesus name I pray.

Father, I pray for Minority Leader Schumer as he evaluates the benefits of federally-funded programs. I also pray that Senator Schumer would walk in Your ways so that he will be blameless before You and he will not be put to shame. (From Psalm 119:1 and 6). May he come to see Jesus as his Messiah and begin to follow Him.
