Lord I offer now this prayer, this petition on behalf of John Edwards and Your people who are called by Your name in Rhode Island, and for those to come who shall be called by Your name that through Mr Edwards You may be exalted and in thought, word and deed he may bring the light of Truth through his service. Guide and direct his life, as water being poured from Your hand. Be glorified in all he says, does and supports that those there and we elsewhere may lead peaceful and quiet lives, godly and dignified in every way for we know this pleases You our God and Savior for it is by Biblical government the Gospel is spread openly and in all boldness that many may be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. I thank You knowing the Nations You have given as an inheritance to Christ our Savior and the Son in whom You were well pleased. It is in His name I pray, amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, I pray to you for Representative John Edwards of Rhode Island 's 70th district that he be acting in your name and following your most holy will as he works for legislation that will help our country and turn us all back to you. We bind Satan from him and all his thoughts in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to descend upon him and all senators of the U.S to save our country from the evil grip that is trying to take hold. We ask that he seek for the truth in all things for in your word of John 8:32: it says that "the truth shall set you free." We pray that our country can remain a free and sovereign nation. Lord, please forgive us all our sins and come to John Edwards and fill him with your truth and light in the glory of your name. We pray for his soul and thank you. Amen.

I pray, in the name of Jesus, for Representative John Edwards. Dear Heavenly Father, please surround him by spirit-filled Christians who are able to speak Your Word of Truth and Your values into his life. I pray in agreement with prayer warriors for the binding (Matthew 16:19) of satan's rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) and for "the demolish(ing) of arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God," (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray for the loosing (Matthew 16:19) of open eyes, listening ears and a soft heart that will enable Mr. Edwards to receive revelation of Your truth and values into his heart. We pray that John Edwards is convicted to receive Your gift of salvation (John 3:16) and "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," (2 Cor. 10:5). We pray he be blessed with godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name Amen

Dear Father in heaven, You are righteous, holy and Your loving kindness is everlasting. You do all things well and Your thoughts and ways are higher than mine. I bring John G "Jay" Edwards IV before Your throne to ask for his life to be filled with the knowledge of the Most High God that provided salvation through Jesus Christ and draw him into an intimate personal relationship with Jesus.

Dear Lord, Please bring down the power of the Holy Spirit to guide John to lead our country back to Christianity, one community at a time. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you requesting that Representative John Edwards and his family come to know You as their Savior, to use the knowledge provided by You and Your word to make all decisions in his personal life and work life. Please. have godly advisors surround him and You protect him and his family from satan. May he feel the peace and love only You are able to provide. In the name of our Savior Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the Lord guide you and use you for His eternal purposes. Following His lead is the most efficient and effective and honorable way to lead. May the God of all comfort prosper you when you follow and chasten you when you do not. Thank you for your service.
