Father God, Take special note of this elected servant. One who by aclimation of the people he reprisents has been placed in office to reprisent their needs, values, and standards before the nation and the world. Bless him, his house, his staff, and those he reprisents with, safety, health and welfare. Grant him great wisdom and understanding of the times to know as the men of Issachar what the nation should do. Make clear the motives of those that seek his vote. Give him boldness and courage to continue to speak out in support of strong legislation that is re-building our nation and working to lower the debt and bring the economy back to where it should be. May he continue to expose lies and cover-ups according to your word that says whatever is hidden will be brought into the light. May he continue to walk in integrity with honor and uprightness of heart and actions. Touch his heart and life and guide Him by Your might outstretched arm. Father, thank You for Senate Minority Leader John Barrasso. He has chosen to serve his country and I pray he is serving You as well. While the Supreme Court is hearing a case on the constitutionality of racial gerrymandering in Louisiana's congressional district maps, I pray for Senator Thune to lead the Senate in prudence as they consider these issues. But even more important is that he work with Senator Thune on leading the Senate to a resolution that will allow the government to open again. The shutdown is beginning to have negative effects on our citizens. I pray these things in Jesus's name. Amen.

Lord God, I lift John Barraso, Wyoming Senator, before You in prayer. I pray that he would be a 'Joshua', realizing that You have placed him in this position to claim and reclaim this land for Your plans, purposes and blessing. I pray that he will walk in plans and paths of righteousness with unusual courage, boldness and wisdom, with eyes fixed on You and ears attuned to Your instruction and guidance.
