Steve Cohen (D)

Father, I pray Representative Cohen might receive conviction in order to know the God of hope personally. "May the God of hope fill you with all�joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Romans 15:13)

Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of praying for Representative Steve Cohen as he represents the state of Tennessee. I pray, Lord, Your protection for him and his family. Convict him to stand against the attacks of Satan (Ephesians 6:10-13), to build spiritual strength, conviction and courage and to resist manipulation and peer pressure (Proverbs 29:25, 2 Timothy 1:7). Bless him with Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and a conviction to stand firmly in support of the sanctity of life, families, divine order and morality in our nation. Convict Representative Cohen to uncover and expose corruption, deceit and lies (Proverbs 26). Bless Steve Cohen with wise, godly counsel and God-fearing advisors (Proverbs 24). In Jesus name, Amen.

As spirit filled Christian prayer warriors, we continue to lift Representative Steve Cohen to You, Lord. We pray for his ears to hear and his eyes to see all that You are speaking into his spirit as he represents the 9th Congressional district of Tennessee in the House of Representatives. Bring Your Words to his remembrance when difficult decisions are before him. Convict Representative Cohen to put Your standards first and to uphold Your plan for America. Bring to his memory that we are meant to be one nation under God. Remind him of words written in 1796 in the preamble of the Tennessee constitution: Art. XI.III. "That all men have a natural and Indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their conscience...". We pray for the protection of Your angel armies from unrighteousness and injustice that the enemy has unleashed in America. Cause Mr. Cohen to become aware that Your plan for America is one of justice, righteousness and moral standards as written in Your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen

Dear Steve, Thank you for serving the people of Tennessee! Your job is surely difficult, to be pulled in many directions all at the same time as everyone has their own opinions of what your priorities should be. I am reaching out to you, not to ask anything from you, but to encourage you in your work. I pray that you and your family are well and safe. [22] He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light. 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 says: Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Father I pray for Representative Steve Cohen. May he humble himself and seek your wisdom. Give him a love of our freedoms you have blessed us with and a love of our Constitution. May he serve you, not for money or power but out of love for this nation and the people that live in it. Protect him and his family.

I pray, in the name of Jesus, over Representative Steve Cohen: that he is convicted to accept Your Word, God, as his standard, to store up Your commands within him, to turn his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding. I pray he is convicted to call out for insight, cry aloud for understanding, to apply the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God (Proverbs 2: 1-19). "Thus (he) will (be able to) walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land and the unfaithful will be torn from it" (Proverbs 2: 21-22). Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity and privilege of adding my voice to the spirit filled prayers that are being lifted by Your prayer warriors on behalf of Steve Cohen. We pray that he cries out to You for mercy and salvation. Only You, Heavenly Father, knows where his heart stands. If Steve Cohen refuses to be saved and to honor You and walk in righteousness and justice, we pray that his days in office will be few (Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Proverbs 8:20) and that another, who is a spirit filled believer in Christ be elected to take his place (Psalm 109:8), according to Your will and Your plans for the state of Tennessee and for America.
