Father, please bless Representative Cuellar and his family in all he sets his hand to do. May he continue to walk in faith, in truth, and with integrity, his eyes focused on You for wisdom and guidance. Give him wisdom in working across bipartisan lines to maintain the safety and security of our borders and for the defense of our nation. Bless him in his support and caring for the security and welfare of our beloved veterans to whom we owe so much for their selfless service to our country. May he work in unity and with respect towards the present administration, speaking honestly and freely when concerns need to be worked out. May he assist in restoring morality and integrity to our government as they work together in mutual civility. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Prayer

Lord, I lift Texax Representative, Henry Cuellar, before You in prayer. I pray that his heart would be moved by the things that move Your heart, God. I pray for a veil of truth, wisdom and discernment to cover him, casting aside and replacing any veil of deceit or blindness. While this is especially needful for those operating in positions of authority, it is also needful for each and every person he represents in this office, so I pray the same for his constituency. Lord, I pray for a great work of Your hand in Mr. Cuellar's life, so turning his heart that he would ultimately be, in fame and function, truly a great 'man of God'. In the name and authority of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Father I lift us Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. Thank you for her service to our country. May she look to you for wisdom and not for money or power but as in serving you. Give her a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a desire to know Jesus as King, Creator and Savior. Protect her and her family.

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Henry Cuellar. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Cuellar. Enable him to see himself as You see him (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble himself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of his sins, transgression and iniquity(Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone he has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25). If he does not know You as his Savior, we pray he would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Representative Cuellar be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as he serves the people of Texas and fulfills his duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives. Lord Jesus, please give Henry Cuellar the guidance and wisdom that he needs. give him ears to hear the still, small voice of Holy Spirit guiding and directing him in all that he says and does as a member of Congress.
