Lord Jesus, we join in prayer that You would "cast out all spirits of darkness" from the House of Representatives. Encourage those who are of good will.

The Reverend Pat Conroy, a Jesuit priest, prayed powerfully Thursday morning on the House of Representatives floor. Here is how he began: “This has been a difficult and contentious week in which darker spirits seem to have been at play in the people’s house. In Your most holy name, I now cast out all spirits of darkness from this chamber, spirits not from You.” Watch this 2 minute video and pray in agreement with the Rev. Conroy.

    1. This is such an important point — yet the words are so meaningful and relevant. May we pray that Reverend Conroy’s words also include the need to ask everything in Jesus’ Name.

  1. I declare the Spirit of Truth will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers of FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ. Where the Spirit of the Lord is THERE IS LIBERTY – where the Holy Spirit of Christ is Lord there is true freedom – I declare RIGHTEOUSNESS exalts this nation in all seven mountains of society – government (executive, legislative and judicial branches); educational systems, media, family, commerce, religion, arts and entertainment – breathe upon us anew Holy Spirit for Your Mercy’s sake, in Jesus Christ’s name.

  2. I fully agree with this prayer and ask God to bless Chaplain Conroy for his boldness. May there be a sweep of the Holy Spirit throughout our government, and bring forth truth, peace, and awareness of God’s agenda for our country.

  3. Every Church and Christian in America should be lifting up prayers like this. We need God’s mercy, and to get that we need to repent of our sins and the sins of the nation. Pray for repentance and revival.

  4. In the Name of our Lord Jesus we come in One Accord. For Peace and Protection in our hearts and our Country. And we Thank You God for using a man of God. And For watching over us. Praise Your Holy Name Jesus Amen

  5. I pray for His wisdom and understanding, that His Name will be glorified and lifted up in unity as this great House comes together and that the purposes of God will be accomplished through this House. I speak peace and unity on this House, in Jesus Name. Amen

  6. He hit the nail on the head for as it says in the book of Ephesisans the war we are in is a spiritual one not a one of flesh and blood. We need to realize that our fight is against demons who are trying to Use poeple to destroy our lives!

  7. May Rev .Conroy continue to pray Spirit led and anointed prayers in the House of Representatives. Protect him from every dart of the enemy.
May the Spirit of truth prevail !

  8. Prov 16:18
“Pride comes before destruction and an arrogant spirit before a fall.”
I pray my Lord, for All the people and Leaders in Washington! (Specifically to the Congress, Senators and Committees groups).
Give them wisdom and knowledge to understand and see the TRUTH and open their eyes to see what you SEE; stop the discord and pettiness!
They are there to work for “The People” NOT to gain popularity and bring discord! STOP the discord in YOUR chambers! I asked you Lord in Jesus name to forgive them for their foolishness, they don’t know what they are doing. Use them for the GLORY of your name! It’s time to take over evil and demonic spirits in Washington!
God, let them repent and turn their bad deeds for Good, turn every bad action to be a positive deed and Wisdom for those who Loves you❤️ Please Lord, I asked in humility and plead the Blood of Jesus over those groups🙏 AMEN!

  10. Now we need to stand the ground for righteousness and through a love for our nation to work with each other. So many times we pray such an important prayer, then do not hold the Hill.

    1. Dear Lord God Almighty thank You for everything. Thank You that we have a constitutional Republic. Lord please help the U.S. Congress to live up to its commitments. Lord please have our representatives act and speak like leaders and not like children. Lord please impress upon every member to be a responsible and accountabile adult not just a educated grown up. Help all members to rise above party politics and do what is best for the people. Lord please protect the hearts and minds of our congress from darkness corruption and temptation. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

        1. FAther in heaven, we bow before You and ask you to rise in your courtroom and declare the merit of the blood of Jesus over all the powers and principalities that may be at work to oppose the purposes of your kingdom. Strengthen the Republic and our self-government with believers who hear your voice and pray. We thank you in faith for the dismantling of the strongholds of darkness by the authority and power of the blood of Jesus. Speak your word over our Congress we pray, and bind the voices of those who advocate things in opposition to your will. We ask in Jesus name. AMEN.

  11. The spirits of darkness present in that House of Representatives must have been deeply distressed when that prayer was said. It was a powerful prayer- one that was spirit filled and anointed. Thank you to the chaplain for his obedience and boldness. God bless you and our beautiful country. Let’s keep fighting!

  12. Isn’t it amazing and encouraging that as we pray for God to touch our nation He sends a man like Reverend Pat Conroy to pray such a powerful and Spirit led prayer. Thank You God. We believe You are doing mighty things in our nation.
