I Prayed have prayed
Lord, because of you I am going to sing like the battle is over, dance like the war is won. Every prison door will swing wide open for you have overcome!
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
There’s a praise that breaks the silence
A sound that slays the giants
A voice that breaks down every prison door
When we lift up our voices
Praises go before us
For we know the battle is the Lord’s

[Chorus]
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
The King has overcome

[Verse 2]
I remember every victory
How He wrote my story
The moment that I crossed from death to life
So if the battle rages
I’m safe here in His presence
For I know He’s never lost a fight

[Chorus]
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome

[Interlude]

[Bridge]
Victory is mine before my eyes can see it
Now there’s nothing that can keep me from my promise
No, I won’t be moved, my hope’s in You
His light breaks through the darkness
Now there’s nothing that can keep me from my promise
Victory is mine before my eyes can see it
Now there’s nothing that can keep me from my promise
No, I won’t be moved, my hope’s in You
His light breaks through the darkness
Now there’s nothing that can keep me from my promise

[Chorus]
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome
I’m gonna sing like the battle is over
I’m gonna dance like the war is won
Every prison door swing open wide
The King has overcome

[Outro]
The King has overcome
The King has overcome

I will claim this song today as a promise that my husband will be totally healed and restored to good health from the surgery he had for a brain tumor!

Yes, we are to sing and give praises to our Lord when all around us the “bad news” swirls like
a tornado trying to engulf us. Why, because God asks us to in His Word! “In everything give thanks,
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Hard to do at times?
Absolutely! Nevertheless, it is always what we are asked to do.
God has a way of turning what the enemy intends for harm into good for our joy and His glory.

I needed this today as a “re-minder” to myself as I watch very dear ones suffer in pain. We can always thank Him even when we don’t understand ~ and we can pray believing that the enemy can be bound in whatever painful situations may come up against our loved ones. May whatever we may be going through, no matter how painful, give Him glory by our thankfulness for Him being with us in and through it all.
“As we wait in joyful hope for His coming again in glory”, Anita
