Reading Time: < 1 minute

Thank you for praying for IFA President Dave Kubal’s trip to the border with national faith leaders and Trump Administration officials. The trip is wrapping up today. Please continue to pray:

  • For the Church along the border to be mobilized and encouraged in caring for and sharing the Gospel with waiting immigrants
  • For God to use this trip to develop relationships in order to fulfill His plan for the people at the border–the Border Patrol agents, the Church, and the immigrants
  • For the Gospel to be shared and received among all of those who are a part of this crisis
  • For safety

Have we looked Biblically into this…remember what happened when Israelites did not ask the Lord about the Gibionites (who came with moldy bread for proof they came from afar)…

The border situation is a difficult and complex problem. Unfortunately, too many of our leaders are wrapped up on political drama instead of collectively working towards a solution. We have a middle-size elementary school number of children crossing the border each day. Also, each day 800-1000 homes worth of people are entering the USA. How can that not be a crisis? As Christians, we want to reach out and help people. We have this dilemma, though, as many of those who are against obstructing the entry don’t seem to realize or choose to ignore the huge requirement for resources required to care for them. The weight of this coping with the mass border crossings is on a very understaffed border patrol with insufficient resources to house and feed and provide medical care. Interestingly, members of Congress who say there is no crisis are protesting the suggestion that those crossing the border illegally should be transported to sanctuary states/cities. Our prayer is that leaders will rise up who can bring consensus to solving the problem vs using it for partisan political rhetoric. Only God can do that with such a substantial number in Congress campaigning to be president. This problem is another symptom of the main problems that cross all issues – a lack of respect and more concern about partisan politics than serving the people who elected them to our state and federal legislatures. 2000-3000 people a day is 750K to 1M a year. That is a huge obligation. The perspective presented to people in Central America by the current political dialog is “come and get it”. In the context of my understanding of Biblical mandates, the church owns this problem and our course of action is to declare the Biblical mandates and to give praise to our God for His resolution. Satan doesn’t own this country, it belongs to God and we are his stewards. This is going down on our watch. Our mandate is not limited to the borders of the USA. The missions to the countries people are leaving need to be ramped up substantially so they can not just survive there but flourish. So with our prayers, we must also act. God is more than enough up for the fix but we are the arms and legs. It requires boldness, creativity, love, respect, repentance for limiting God by our inaction and under-estimating God’s ability to intervene on behalf of this nation and those coming to this nation.

Yes is is very serious so sad when the country is divided over such a basic common sense need . It is sobering that people are deceived to believe a lie. It seems the culmination of humanism at its worst. The world always wants to replace Gods clear solid principals with a false set of values. In Scripture the Psalms say thinking themselves wise they have become fools. Praying for and thank God for his mercy to us with using our present day leadership President and Vice President. It’s miraculous what is being accomplished . Praying for the quick and complete building of the wall and all involved

I am so disturbed by what is going on at the border. This is another example of lawlessness running rampant in our country. I believe we need to enforce the laws on the books and not be swayed by those asking for sanctuary. I know there is a law that enables them to do this, but the situation in their home countries does not warrant giving them sanctuary in my opinion. Share the Gospel with them, love them, feed them, but don’t let them take up residence here. Send them home. Coming over the border illegally is NOT lawful. It is lawlessness! Immigrants are supposed to go through a legal application process to be able to come to this country. Many people wait years to receive their resident Visa or green card. What is going on at our borders is gross negligence by our government. I am assailing Heaven on behalf of our nation.

This migration invasion is a part of a broader plan to overcome our government and President. Pressure is being exerted from Congress above and other ground activists groups from below to squeeze our Democratic system of its breath. No,these “migrants” should NOT be allowed into the United States. Yes, Build the Wall! Yes, put pressure on Mexico and other Latin American countries to stop the flow of these Caravans. Go after their money source and apprehend them.

I was reading Isaiah 41:10-12,17-20 and saw in these few passages that made me think of how God Almighty made the dry places hospitable for His people. Many of the people in this caravan are Catholic. They believe in God and Jesus as His son. I pray that The Father of all who believe in His Son, can provide for these people too. We have lots of open lands in many of the southwestern states. The problem is; no water. But what is too hard for OUR God. Shall we gather to pray for water in dry places to allow the admission of families willing to work the dry land, build adobe homes for themselves and raise livestock?

Dearest Father-God,
I gratefully agree to fast and pray on May 2, 2019, for this and all the other hard opportunities we have in this broken world. May we love as You Love, O God, so that we can live as Your servant. May Hearts and lives be changed in Jesus Christ – Today and for Eternity.
Amen.

Fast and pray, yes, great idea! Also, build the wall as quickly as possible.

Mr. President:

I appeal that as President Lincoln proclaimed a day of fasting and prayer for April 29, 1863, you would proclaim a National Day of Prayer and Fasting for May 2, 2019.

Just as that Civil War was soon turned through victories at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, the civil war in which we are engaged for the restoration of the union of the faith would be turned, as well.
May our King continue to reveal Himself to and through you!
