I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we stand in the gap for the preborn, and ask You to end abortion in America. Help us to faithfully pray and do our part in our spheres of influence. Change the hearts of our Justices, and of Americans.

The case of Dobbs State Health Office of the Mississippi Department of Health vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court on December 1, 2021.

Project Josiah, a pro-life organization under the umbrella of America’s Black Robe Regiment, is calling on pastors across America to adopt an abortion center in prayer and encourage church members to pray at the abortion center at least once per month. The pro-life victory in Texas last month was the first pro-life victory from SCOTUS in many years.  The Church must build on this victory, joining in unified prayer leading up to the Dobbs case and continuing until Roe vs. Wade is overturned.

You might ask: Couldn’t I just pray in the comfort of my prayer closet?

If your health prevents you from walking and standing while you pray, sure. However, there was a priest, Father Jim Sheldon, who in his 80’s, prayed at the abortion center in Manassas, VA, until it closed and then prayed at the center in Falls Church, VA, until he was in his late eighties and became quite ill.  For years I saw him sit in a folding chair most Saturdays and pray in rain, hot sun and freezing cold snow.  Many babies were saved while he was out there praying!

You might ask: What difference could one praying person make?

I once spoke to a woman who stopped by the abortion center to tell me that she had come to the center in Manassas, VA 25 years earlier to get an abortion. She relayed that on her way, she prayed that God would give her a sign if He did not want her to have the abortion.  When she arrived, she saw just ONE man with a sign that said: God loves you!

With that, she turned around and went home.  She proceeded to tell me that she gave birth to a son who at age 25 was now doing his residency to be a doctor.  She thanked me and the others with me for praying there. She added:  You never know what one sign, or one prayer can do.

You might also ask: Can praying at an abortion center cause the center to close?

In Fairfax, VA, a long-standing abortion center that we had been praying at closed because the owner of the building took the “clinic” to court on the grounds that the “clinic” and those praying outside were a nuisance to the other businesses in the multi-business complex. We were happy to have been a “nuisance.”  That abortion center was the largest in Virginia, doing 300 abortions per month.

Can praying at an abortion center lead an abortionist to quit?

In Manassas, VA, an abortionist emerged from the abortion center one Saturday while a group of us were praying out front. He asked one of the faithful prayer warriors if he could arrange for him to meet with a priest.  It was Lent, and the abortionist said he wanted to have a good Easter. As a result, the abortionist went back to attending church and to this day he is delivering babies instead of killing them. A few months later, the owner of that abortion center decided to close it and sell the building.  Six Catholic investors joined their finances together and outbid Planned Parenthood for it.  Catholic Charities now ministers to the poor in that building where babies had been slaughtered for over 25 years!

The international organization, 40 Days for Life, has been instrumental in the closing of over 100 abortion centers in the US and other nations, and the saving of over 17,000 lives, simply by holding prayer vigils in front of abortion centers.

Project Josiah is calling on Christians to pray year-round until the abortion facilities close.

Please join Project Josiah this fall as we pray to END abortion in your community and together, we can END it completely across this nation.

Father, God, you are the creator of all life. We pray for the protection of these unborn children. May the Abortion clinics in the USA all be closed. We pray for our Supreme Court Judges to rule on December 1 and make the decision to safe the unborn child and to rule in favor of life and over turn Rowe via Wade ruling.

In jesus most holy name, Amen
