I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 2 minutes

I was praying with my husband recently, asking the Lord for clarity in how to use my voice amidst all the political upheaval and spiritual darkness. The insanity and deception in the high places of our government is growing so quickly, there is the temptation to react quickly in hopes to clarify, deny, or confirm various issues. Especially in social media, the constant flow of political propaganda and liberal agenda confronts me with a call to respond.

And yet, if I don’t guard my heart, I can easily fall into the very POLITICAL SPIRIT I am hoping to displace.

For those of us who have a burden for the Church and our commission in this hour, we are faced with a daunting task – to address the pressing issues of the day, but from ANOTHER REALM – not this one. If we are to call people higher up to Kingdom truths and realities, we have to speak as ones who have already been there and have seen something different. It is not enough to simply call out and expose the darkness. We must give hope to a higher call, a higher purpose, and a higher commission. The tools we fight with are not of this world and we cannot get caught up in the war of words through carnal means.

[A]nd my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 ESV)

I have been reminded, once again, that if we don’t spend time in the secret place and speak from the place of His presence, we will simply become pawns of the enemy and pundits without promise. Without offering a higher call to rule in the midst of our enemies and giving hope in securing a greater inheritance, the prophetic will turn political and our commission will be cancelled out. Of all the voices speaking today, it is those who speak from another Kingdom that will have the authority to be heard and the power to bring transformation.

I pray we can stay on the prophetic edge without falling off the mountain.

________

O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord. To him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, he sends out his voice, his mighty voice. Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies. Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! (Psalms 68:32-35 ESV)

After reading all of these I feel like I just had church being built up by the words of faith and love just written by these responses.
Thank you I needed this encouragement and building up in determination, kingdom, repentance, faith and love and most of all steadfastly standing firm in the power of His might in childlike faith. Thank you so much and Blessings and love to you all.

That is such a good word. Before the last election, I told people that I was not for Republicans or Democrats but want righteous leaders no matter the party. “Some trust in Chariots, some trust in horses but we trust in the Name of our God”. We don’t want man’s will for our country, we want God’s will to be done. So we pray for hearts to be changed, eyes to be opened to see the Great I AM. We pray for a higher vision than mere men can have.

It is time for us to STAND UP but lovingly pointing to the Word. I have printed the article from some time ago, that explains the GOOD kind of Immigrants and the Bad. From the scriptures it is very clear there is a difference. Also verses about Life being sacred and on and on it goes. Lets point to the WORD and let Him do the persuading. And Yes we need more prayer for sure.

Thank you Wanda; I love to listen to you because your words speak to me. I totally agree with you. The other day at the farmers market, they were selling Trump hats and other things. I’ve seen this for years now. I believe that only God appoints kings and leaders and I believe God has placed our President in office. I believe God put Trump in office in answer to the prayers of His people and now He is waiting for the Church to rise up and be a voice for Him to prepare the way for the LORD. I keep praying for godly counselors to surround him and advise him. Just this past weekend, I thought about buying a Trump hat and then it dawned on me, no, I need to get a hat that says: “In God I trust” so I didn’t buy it. I believe that God tests us all the time and that this is a snare of the enemy to see if the Church is believing in a man to save us or our GOD. We are warned many times in the Word not to put our trust in man but ONLY IN GOD. We support the person in office who most lines up with the Word of our God but we seek God in prayer to fight our battles. –Jayne

I agree with you! I support our president, unlike some of my family, and I find myself at times getting very angry! I then have to realize that only God can solve our problems! I pray to stay loving and keep my eyes on Jesus!

Thank you Carol for writing. We HAVE TO BE STEADFAST IN THE LORD. The enemy is relentless with trying to get us to react to things in the natural. But GOD! HIS Word is our truth, our way and our life! That’s it! These words came to me one day and I find myself having to say them lot: “I will not let what anyone says or does change who I am in Jesus Christ!” Simple, but powerful. God bless you! –Jayne

I got very indignant over a situation in the news. It disgusted me and made me fearful.

In the quiet morning hour of prayer i was overwhelmed with compassion for the walking wounded around us. To weep …yes

Yes, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. We must not hate those who are deceived and being used by the rulers of this dark world. I pray for the generation of kids growing up in all of this perversion. Lord, please deliver them. Please raise up the Church to show love in the midst of chaos. Give us wisdom and discernment to speak against sin while showing compassion to those who are bound.

I read Matthew 12:34 which says You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks of that which fills the heart.” Father I pray for a change of heart that your truth would come out of my mouth and that we, by the words spoken by others, might identify what is truly in their hearts and pray accordingly.

Thank you.
We are to renew our minds and so to start with ourselves in our secret place with God the father .so will end up in a Christ like mind.take over our church which is lukewarm which is the cause of this evil happening .so I am praying and repenting for myself and my church.
Let his kingdom reign first in my life then to my family and my church and in my nation.
Thank you again ythe beautiful prayer for this hour.

Well said! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Who wants to be pawns when we can be a knights. While we don’t want to be sucked into the quagmire of the political theater, “Hollywood East,” I would suggest that we understand the difference between people engaged in “liberalism” in the classical sense of the word and the “liberalism” positions of today, which can make those people pawns. But just to be clear, people engaged in “Leftism” are definitely pawns! And while we need to pray for all, we definitely need to pray for those being used by the “Left” because they are serving as enemies of all that is good and beautiful! Thank you again.

Thank you for sending out this rallying cry to all serious believers. This is a time to stand fast in all the will of God and for the pure truth of God’s word. It’s not the time to be involved in political arguments without bringing to light God’s promises of a glorious inheritance of the kingdom of God. Jesus has already concurred the enemy, but He expects us to use the weapons of our warfare and pray in His name to see the resistance torn down. Worship Him and stand fast.

Yes, greatly concern as well. I Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-Righteousness and sanctification and redemption.31-that it is written “ He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”, and 1Corinthians 2 all, is excellent stands that we no nothing but Him glorified, His wisdom, His Spirit,
Coming in agreement, praying for a kingdom voice to arise! to silence voices, may Truth and righteousness to be heard, repentance, to pray for those who persecute, return no evil words, but to resolve in the wisdom of God. And the beginning of wisdom is to fear God.
Seeking and pleading for God’s intervention, 1Cor2:5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men put in the power God.
Lefting you and staff up as well on the front lines. Thank you for sharing this, In the Mighty Name of Jesus, we will pray.🙏❤️🇺🇸

I agree that we should be informed but extremely mindful of distractions that hinder our true purpose…to preach the gospel and the kingdom of God and to go about doing good healing all that are oppressed of devils. As much as we want to stop the flood of evil and lawlessness in this world, these times were prophesied in the Bible. We must set our affection on things above, not on the affairs of this world. I’m not saying that we shut our eyes and fold our hands, but real change only occurs in men’s hearts…not through men’s laws. The Ten Commandments could not change the hearts of men…neither will the natural laws of men. This world is not and will not be our home. We continue to pray God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven and for our leaders and others rulers that God’s will be accomplished in their lives.

Edith, this is so true, and such a good reminder to me when I get too emotional over reading the news. I must be filled with the Holy Spirit in my spirit and let my spirit lead my soul. We are citizens of heaven first.

Amen and Amen!
Thank you for another reminder to hide in the “secret place”.
David wrote Psalm 27 expressing the same Holy Spirit; with the help of the Holy Spirit!
I love that Psalm! I would encourage reading it! It was The future King of Israel hiding in those caves worshipping ,crying out, listening , and hearing the God and King of tsrael and the universe!
The desire to see and be with the Lord, see His beauty…
Not only the belief that God will hide us in the secret place of His Tabernacle, but the ending
Where he says to WAIT on the Lord; be of good courage and HE shall strengthen your heart!

Oh my goodness this is so right on and it is exactly what the Lord has been strongly speaking to my heart for the past couple of months. As believers we must point people to Christ–not a politician or a political party. We can elect the smartest, business-minded politicians in the world yet if those individuals are not pointing us as a nation back to Christ–it is meaningless (worthless). I realized that I was sharing my political views/opinions more than I was sharing the gospel on social media and to my family and friends. I just unplugged from it all for a while. I do believe in staying informed about what is going on in our nation and around the world yet we have to guard our heart so that we will not get sucked in to useless political debates and arguments which is nothing more than a distraction.

Yes, so true. Satan is the Angel of Light, Accuser of the Brethren. So many talking heads in the Media, Social and otherwise. There is only One Head of the Body of Christ and He is the only talking head we should daily be listening to. “Christ in Us the hope of glory!” “He must INCREASE and I MUST decrease!” The slogan of disciples.

The Church must remove the distractions from within her soul, we are the Bride of Christ! Satan is a clever adversary, this fallen cherub must be exposed in every aspect of our fallen nature, the Flesh, that Jesus might be seen. We must see that our garments our clean, no spot or wrinkle. Jesus learned obedience through the things he He suffered. We must carry our cross daily so that we will live!

1 Corinthians 2:12&13. Help us Lord to always remember which Kingdom we belong to.
Vs. 16b, but we have the mind of Christ.
Help us, Lord to pray from His mind and with His Spirit.

Lord God, I pray you continue your work with power in Wanda! For I believe you would have her continue to write on this topic! Especially about the way you have provided for your people to do what Wanda is describing! That we will see how sure is our reason to believe that greater faith in Jesus; as the source of all the good we are continuing to receive now; will give us eternal Joy great enough to make our obeying you worth paying any cost! Which I believe is your way for us to do what Wanda describes to any degree!
