Father in the name of Jesus, as a resident of Central NJ in an area not affected by storm damage or flooding, as I view the videos and photos of Ida’s devastation and read stories of people who were stranded, injured, lost loved ones, had their homes or businesses, or vehicles damaged or destroyed, and all who died, (and also natural disasters such as the recent earthquake in Hati) I am grieved, and pained in my heart to pray regarding the “root cause” of such devastation and loss of lives and property. Father I trust you and i read in 1 Kings that Elijah was zealous for the Lord because God’s people had broken covenant, then he saw such devastating frightening things and discerned that you were NOT in the wind or the earthquake, but you are in the still small voice, so i wonder if the cause of such catastrophes are your people breaking covenant, as you then remarked that you had reserved 7000 to yourself who had not bowed the knee to Baal.

Father when Abraham prayed concerning the rebellion of Dathan, Abriam, and Korah, when you warned him to get away from their tents so as not to be destroyed with them, he prayed for the congregation and asked that you not destroy all for the sins of a few, and you spared the congregation by allowing Moses to warn them. Oh Father when the cup is become full in our current day, before destruction comes in the form of natural disasters, i ask that you beforehand send warning, through your anointed, send the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and compromise, weigh on your people to humbly repent and pray for their family, their church, area, city, and nation, that all or many would not suffer the fate of a few whom might genuinely deserve destruction. Father deal decisively with the wicked who deserve it in a way that it is understood that YOU yourself dealt with them, that it was not merely a natural death or a natural disaster, teach your church how to pray for the church to understand covenant with you and not break it, to pray against the causes of these natural disasters to prevent them and protect your people, In Jesus name we ask believing you hear us and we have what we ask.

1 Kings 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.15 And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:

16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Thank you Father God that mercies triumphant over judgement. Have mercy on the just and the unjust. Let your Holy Spirit hover over New York and New Jersey as people look to you God from where our help comes. May many souls come to you in Jesus Name.
