The Biden administration’s silence on worsening anti-government protests in Cuba and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s invitation to the United Nations to review the U.S. on human rights is not only insane but dangerous, former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley told “The Story” on Wednesday.
Haley: I thought that the Biden administration was extreme leftist. This is flat-out insane. The idea – you’ve got a million Muslim Uighurs that are being tortured. You’ve got people being bullied and beaten in the streets of Cuba. You’ve got Venezuelans that are arresting political protesters, all of which Biden chooses to sit with on the Human Rights Council. And the U.S. is asking the United Nations, a cesspool of political bias, to come into the United States and investigate us on human rights?
We look so ridiculous in the eyes of the world right now. I can’t even imagine what the world is thinking. I can’t imagine what those ambassadors at the U.N. are thinking. I sat there and fought for the fact that we were the freest, best country in the world. And now you have our own secretary of state calling the U.N. to do an investigation? I mean, you can’t make this up. This isn’t just insane, this is dangerous. It’s incredibly dangerous…
The U.S. should be standing up at the United Nations, calling a hearing in the Security Council about what is happening in Cuba right now. I mean, the U.S. needs to be holding a hearing at the United Nations Human Rights Council. If they wanted to join it, why aren’t you going and calling out your colleague in Cuba saying, “What are you doing?” We need the rest of the world to join in on this. This is exactly why we keep the embargo. This is exactly why we need other countries to join. It’s that pressure that will get the Cuban dictatorship to stop.

Biden and Blinken are showing the world the kind of inept, insane, and uncaring people we have in the Whitehouse! Truly, they are not only ridiculous in the eyes of the world, they are dangerous for the American people! Americans are NOT what these two people represent us to be! The silence from Biden and Blinken regarding Cuba is unthinkable! We should be standing with the Cuban people!
Haley is very right when she says it is so dangerous for our Sec’y. Of State to call for the U.N. to investigate America! It’s unheard of and unthinkable, and unacceptable!! The world has to be wondering, what has happened to America? The only “assault on human rights” in the U.S. is being done by Biden and this administration, to the American people!! What a disgrace this administration is!
Just think, only a short time ago, we had people in office who loved and appreciated this country. What a difference!! Now we have corrupt, hateful, dishonest and very dangerous people in office. Keep praying II Chronicles 7:13-15. How we need for the Lord to intercede on our behalf!
We pray for the leaders in our nation, some have believed the lies of the enemy. They don’t recognize human rights injustices, because they have been deceived. Lord, I pray that it will become evident to the people, the lies and injustices being promoted at this time. While our leaders may try to disregard all the social injustice, genocide, slavery, and abuse that is occurring on an ongoing basis in places like China, Venezuela, and in Cuba, let the truth be seen by many who have followed these lies, hoping for redemption by a “social justice” that destroys. While there are many differences across the political spectrum in our nation that we will not find agreement in, Lord, be merciful to help us find agreement for solutions in some areas whether negative or positive. Help us to motivate our leaders toward decisions that are good for our nation.
This article brings up a good point on using a embargo against Cuba. I pray for the Cuban people. That you will protect the citizens who truly want freedom. Enough is enough.
