“To give you a quick sense of the magnitude of the problem:  Institutional and individual investors passively invest some $7 trillion in the benchmarked Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Emerging Markets Index.  That index is expected shortly to increase the percentage of its portfolio that is invested in Chinese companies from seven percent to forty-five percent,” according to Committee on Present Danger: China.

Frank Gaffney with Center for Security Policy shares,  “We recently learned that, by dint of a decision taken in 2017 by the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) which oversees the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the U.S. government employees’ retirement system will soon “mirror” another MSCI index: the All-Country World Index (ACWI) with its $6 trillion in benchmarked funds. Currently, six percent of the ACWI index is underwriting Chinese companies. That share is expected shortly to grow by another $60 billion to seven percent.”

Gaffney continues, “If that decision is actualized sometime next year, past and present military personnel and other federal government employees will be obliged to invest their pension funds in corporations tied to the CCP that enable its intensifying repression at home and escalating aggression abroad.

If, on the other hand, that decision can be reversed, not only would the PRC be denied access to the TSP’s $500 billion under management. The associated shock waves may prompt behavior modification towards Chinese investments on the part of Wall Street more generally. It may even materially diminish China’s capacity to wage “unrestricted warfare” against us.”

Intercessors, we know that warfare today is not necessarily armies of soldiers meeting on the battlefield, but that alternative ways of impacting and harming those countries in their crosshairs. Technology. Financial markets. Cyberwarfare. Trade and tariffs. Spiritual.  China has been conducting this kind of “secretive” warfare against the U.S. for decades, totally off the radar of most Americans–and even leaders of our country.  The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is set to meet to either affirm or change their decision on October 21st.  Will you pray that they reverse their decision to fund China with American government pensions?
