The leaders of the U.S. Bishops’ Conference (USCCB) blasted the Democrats’ passage of the American Rescue Plan on Wednesday, noting it lacked “critical protections” to protect taxpayers from financing abortions.
It is “unconscionable” that Congress passed the bill “without critical protections needed to ensure that billions of taxpayer dollars are used for life-affirming health care and not for abortion,” wrote the bishops in a statement, which was signed by the president of the USCCB as well as the chairmen of six major USCCB committees.
“Unlike previous COVID [coronavirus] relief bills, sponsors of the American Rescue Plan Act refused to include the longstanding, bi-partisan consensus policy to prohibit taxpayer dollars from funding abortions domestically and internationally,” the bishops declared.
The policy was needed, they continued, “because this bill includes many general references to healthcare that, absent the express exclusion of abortion, have consistently been interpreted by federal courts not only to allow, but to compel, the provision of abortion without meaningful limit.” . . .
“The many important, life-saving provisions in the American Rescue Plan Act have been undermined because it facilitates and funds the destruction of life, which is antithetical to its aim of protecting the most vulnerable Americans in a time of crisis,” they state. . . .
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the $1.9 trillion bill Wednesday by a partisan vote of 220-211 after the Senate had passed it on Saturday. President Joe Biden is expected to sign it on Friday.

This problem began in the pulpits of America in 1972 when pastors were silent on the horror of abortion and many continue to be silent, and that is where repentance needs to begin. “My House shall be called a House of Prayer” but how many churches in the USA actually have a daily or mid-week prayer meeting any more?

Dear Father, as states pass laws to protect the innocent, I pray You would secure these victories, for all time. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray this tiny population of our society would be saved and those who oppose would tremble in fear. Let them know they have fallen into the hands of the living God. Heavenly Father our nation is under a full attack by satan and those that follow him to include legislators in the house and senate, our justice and executive branches of government. Our nation has been under attack for 5 decades. Those we have elected have been had their eyes closed. We are not the Godly nation that our forefathers envisioned. Lord Jesus we believers know from your signs that your coming is close. I pray that those in goverment office open their minds to the realization of what has happened and continuing to the day. Reverse the travesties that has happened. Time is of an essence. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen
Dear Lord Jesus, please have mercy on Joseph Biden by sending an important pro-life Catholic leader to counsel him. May Joseph Biden be carefully shown many bloody photos of mutilated babies bodies, and tiny bloody body parts. May he become fully knowledgeable of the gruesome procedures of abortion. May thy Holy Spirit convict, and convince, him of the horror of abortion (at any stage of fetal development). Reveal to him his own hands, immersed in the blood of the innocent! May he encounter thee in a powerful way that instills “The Fear Of The Lord” directly into his heart. May thy Word, which he has heard every time he attends Catholic Mass, activate his spirit. May he receive the gift of repentance, and may he receive thy forgiveness and be re-born. Please anoint this important Catholic leader and prepare the time and place of their meeting. May Joseph Biden dread what he has gotten himself into. May thee lead him out of it all, and into thy paths of righteousness, and protect him as he determines to obey thee. Don’t let them kill him! This seems like an impossible prayer, Lord Jesus, but may his V.P. and his Cabinet be stunned by his encounter with thee. May they fall down at thy cross like dominoes, one after another, in repentance and true salvation, filled with “The Fear Of The Lord”. Lord, please have mercy on these people, lead them to thy love and truth; and may it begin with Joseph Biden. Sweep the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Judiciary, as well as the FBI, CIA, and each and every Federal department. May every member receive direct revelation, from thee, of their own hands immersed in the blood of the innocent. May thee move sovereignly upon these people, in thy mercy and power. In thy name, Jesus, we pray.
Joseph Biden is a “devout Catholic” only for show. He is a follower of Satin. He and his liberal group in office will never change.
