[Less than 24 hours after a mass shooting took place in El Paso, Texas that killed 20, police in Dayton, Ohio, announced Sunday morning that a gunman open-fired in a crowd in a popular entertainment district, killing 10 people.]

…Police said authorities shot and killed the [Ohio] gunman less than a minute after he began firing his rifle.

“If Dayton police had not gotten to the shooter in under a minute, hundreds of people could be dead in the Oregon District today,” said Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley.

Investigators have not released the identity of the [Dayton, Ohio] shooter or found a motive.

Police Lt. Dan Carper said the shooting “could have been much, much worse” if it were not for the reaction time of first responders.

“As bad as this is, it could have been much, much worse, as I think everyone will become aware of here as more information unfolds,” Carper said.

This is the second mass shooting to take place in the U.S. in less than 24 hours, with many still reeling from a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that killed 20 people and injured 26 others.

Police have not formally released the name of the alleged [El Paso, Texas] killer but many news outlets have released a name of a suspect in the shooting. El Paso County District Clerk court records obtained by Breitbart Texas on Sunday morning indicate that prosecutors filed a capital murder charge.

The shooter allegedly opened fire on customers at a Walmart filled with back-to-school shoppers. Within a few minutes, the shooter allegedly killed 20 people and sent 26 others to area hospitals — including at least two children. The Cielo Vista shopping area is well known to be a place where Mexican nationals also shop after legally crossing the border from Mexico. At least three of the dead were Mexican nationals, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said in a Twitter video. . . . [A total of 30 people were killed in a matter of 24 hours in mass shootings in our nation. And counting Gilroy, California,  it totals 33 people killed inside of a week.  Many other injured remain in the hospital.  Will you join us to pray for all those families affected and for the police forces who are seeking answers.]
