I Prayed have prayed
Father, in a time when lies attempt to prevail over Truth, quicken our spirits, align us with You, and give us Your discernment. We praise You that You are trustworthy and true!
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Will we believe what we see?  Or will we believe the truth right in front of our face? Those two perspectives can often be quite different.

A few years ago, while traveling, God showed me something powerful.  I was with my daughter and grandchildren.  My granddaughter, Brailee and I were riding in the backseat.

Excitedly, Brailee said, “Nana, look at my unicorn!  It’s blue and white!”

I do not know why I responded the way I did, it just poured out of me.

I answered her and said, “No it’s not, it’s green.”

“Nana, it’s blue!  Look at it.”

“No” I said, “Honey, it’s green.”

Confused, Brailee said, “Mom, is this blue?”  Breanne didn’t say a word.  She just looked at me like I needed glasses because the unicorn was indeed blue.

Again, Brailee put the little unicorn in my face and said, “Nana, look closely, it’s blue!”  I answered her again and said, “No, honey, it’s green.”

After several times of this, I watched as Brailee held that little unicorn up to the light in the window.  She was looking at it intently.  Even though her eyes were telling her it was blue, she trusted her Nana.  And if Nana said it was green, then it was green.  I could see all this going through her mind.  I had convinced her it was green.  Mere moments and I had changed her mind so precisely she could no longer believe what she was seeing.

I laughed and said, “Honey, I am playing, you are right, it is blue.”

I was amazed that she stopped believing what she saw with her eyes.  She began to believe this little unicorn was a different color because I said it was.  She believed what I was saying more than what she was seeing.

Are we not seeing the same thing take place in our nation today?

Day after day the media is trying to convince us that what we see is not the truth.  Whether it is about election fraud, covid spread or Afghanistan.  They are telling us what they want us to believe, even though we can see the truth with our own eyes.

Sadly, many are believing the voices over what they know to be true.  Some, like Brailee, are being convinced to believe a lie.  Why?  Because we expect our government to have our best interest at heart – unfortunately, that is no longer true.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Phil 4:8)

Whatever things are true – meditate on these.

The true things are found in the Word of God, in the promises of God. Those are the things we can and must cling to.

That day, in the vehicle with Brailee, God spoke to me and said, “When my people believe what I say, regardless of what they see or hear, like that child just did, they will have what they are praying for.”

Can we believe what God has said in the midst of seeing the opposite with our eyes?  Yes, of course we can.  But will we?  Brailee doubted her eyes because she trusted my words.  We must be careful not to fall into that same trap.  We can’t believe everything we are being told.  We must take time to research and find truths for ourselves.

And, we must develop a faith that will believe what God says regardless of what our eyes see or our ears hear.  A faith that is immovable.  A faith that cannot be shaken by our five senses.

This is something we need now more than ever.  We cannot partner with what we are seeing with our eyes or hearing with our ears.  If we do, discouragement will overtake us.  We must instead believe God’s Word – HIS PROMISES – above all else.

Romans 20:7 says, Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

God told Mary she would have a son.  It was impossible, she had never been with a man.  But what He said was more powerful than the impossibility of the natural circumstances.  We know the rest of the story, she had a son.  We call Him Jesus!

God has told us if we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, He will heal our land.  It sure doesn’t look like a healed land, does it?

Nevertheless, God’s Word will stand true, and we will see our land healed.  We can trust His Word above all else.

Just like Brailee trusted the voice of her Nana.  We can trust His voice.  He’s never lost a battle and He never will.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”  (Revelation 21:5)

Trustworthy and true – that’s our God.

I will add to Kim’s statement from 2 Chronicles 7:14 this phrase: “and turn from their wicked ways”. This is a powerful statement for “my people.”
Believers are the ‘people’ that this is directed toward. This has been a convicting verse for me during this national crisis. “If” and “then” point out the condition and the result of God’s instruction for us.
Believers, as intercessors I pray that our hearts are always contrite before the holy and pure God Almighty.

AMEN, Penny and kudos to Kim Potter. I am in complete agreement with you. It is time to “walk the talk.” Also, because of another article, i want to add: it is totally useless to “fast and pray” unless the fasting changes US! And, by change, that means to STOP rehearsing and bemoaning the works of the defeated foe.

Our born-again spirits are in total alignment with Holy Spirit and our fasting should strengthen the mind of Christ which is developing within us as we take the time (not just in periods of fasting) to renew our minds so that our souls become more aligned with and focused on GOD’s word. We are seated in heavenly places and are ordained to CALL THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE. Our mouths are to be filled with praise and words of triumph in life and godliness with recognition that the gates of hell cannot prevail against the word of GOD that ALWAYS accomplishes that for which it has been sent.

Father,
We rejoice that before the foundation of the earth, You had ordained a plan in which YOU would manifest Your glory THROUGH YOUR BODY at this time. Thank You that we are unified in and actively demonstrating our love for one another. Thank You that we always speak the TRUTH in love and we love our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. Father, thank You that we are partakers of Your divine nature — life and godliness — and that the government of Your Kingdom is increasing as we, Your children, are focused on enforcing Your Kingdom principles through our words and actions. We thank You that You have chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and that Your character is faithful, good, true and sure. Thank You for Your mercy, protection, provision on behalf of those who have been subject to plots and schemes of wicked men. Thank You for revealing Your redemptive love through us so that others see, believe and embrace by our example Your goodness and deliverance. You ALONE are exalted. We honor You, revere You and LOVE YOU.

The way that we hold to the truth is to not be swayed by what we see with the eyes of the flesh. GOD has given each of us discernment that will reject the fabrications and outright lies of the world system and its corrupt representatives. Know that there is more illumination in His Holy Word that will guide our revelation of His character and Divine Love.

Ponder with me again the profound Provision that the LORD has revealed in Scripture and in our physical reality, and what is yet to be fulfilled on the horizon… according to His Supernatural timing. The Feasts of The LORD are ours to partake of; feast on these truths to your heart’s content!

Rosh HaShanah begins Monday evening with Yom Kippur 10 days later. Why is that important? Prayerfully consider this blogpost that gives spiritual insight as to how these and all the Feasts are graphic in representing the Covenants of our ABBA Father. Be blessed beyond measure, for His Light shines brightly in the midst of darkness:

TRUST in JESUS!!

Thank for this post! What a compelling Word God gave you, “When my people believe what I say, regardless of what they see or hear, like that child just did, they will have what they are praying for.” I choose to believe what God says, I will do it in Jesus name!

Father God,
Jesus told us that in these last days there would be deception. (Mark 13). Colossians 2:8, “ See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.“. Ephesians 5:6, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” Warning after warning You have instructed us to keep our hearts and eyes fixed on Truth. This is why we ask You to help us to be disciplined in our minds by “taking every thought captive under the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5). And reminding us of the importance of “renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2). Lord God, we are complacent, lazy and spend more time listening to the lies then we do on listening to You. Help us Lord, to repent and hear the voice of Truth! Thank You, that You have provided Your Word and Your Holy Spirit to lead us and discipline us when we fall away. Thank You for Your constant care, Your loving discipline and consist pursuit of us. Help us to live out, Phil 4:8, “ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” We love You and praise, Oh Lord of all Truth! In Jesus Name, we pray!

Lord our distrust of doctors, media, legislators continues to grow. No matter where we turn the same ideas are repeated and repeated. It is as though if repeated often enough, no one will question. Anytime someone tries to change the narrative, they are labeled and made to appear as strange. Lord, we need Your Word of truth repeated and repeated. We need ears to hear and minds to understand, and hearts that trust in You. Lord block out the noise of talking heads and misinformed leaders. O God our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home. Still be our guard while troubles last and our eternal home.

Our God has placed in each of us his pure spirit, the Holy Spirit, who recoils at the presence of evil in all its forms. We, his bearers, are spiritually attuned to reject the lies and injustices the lost perpetuate. We fall into evil’s trap, however, when, in our rejection, we turn to anger and hate in response. Jesus didn’t…even suffering evil’s brutality of the cross! This past week, I have been unable to open any of the IFA articles concerning Afghanistan. Each attempt is met with the message, “Bad Request.” And, with each new attempt, my anger towards this and my hatred for those responsible grew. I allowed my human weakness to displace my spiritual fellowship with our Lord. Evil’s clear presence does not call God’s chosen to respond in kind. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit calls us to himself to remain centered in his will, giving to others the same grace to be wrong that he gave us and trusting his wisdom above all else!
