I Prayed have prayed
Father, we pray that You would guide the Supreme Court as they decide whether Trump and others involved in January 6 can still hold office. Give the justices wisdom, courage, and boldness.

The Supreme Court is set to decide whether Donald Trump is eligible for public office after his involvement in the events of January 6. While the court’s decision will affect the 2024 presidential election in a major way, it could also affect the lives of countless people like Couy Griffin.

From NBC News. Couy Griffin is a fervent supporter of Donald Trump, but he has an additional reason for hoping the Supreme Court rules that the former president can stay on the ballot in Colorado — the decision could benefit him as well.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

Griffin, a founder of “Cowboys for Trump,” was criminally convicted for his participation in the events of Jan. 6 that led to an attack on the U.S. Capitol and was later kicked out of office as a county commissioner in New Mexico as a result.

He has his own appeal pending at the Supreme Court …

Griffin was removed from his elected position based on the same theory that Colorado officials cite to prevent Trump from appearing on the ballot: a section of the 14th amendment that says those who “engaged in insurrection” cannot hold office. …

Griffin said in an interview he listened to some of the argument and was heartened by the justices’ questions.

“President Trump is at the very top and I am at the very bottom, but a lot of the things they are trying to go after Trump on they have already been after me on,” he said. “I have kind of been a testing ground for the legal stuff.” …

A state judge removed Griffin from his position as a commissioner in Otero County, New Mexico, in September 2022 after concluding that his actions on Jan. 6 made him ineligible to serve.

Earlier that year, Griffin was convicted of illegally entering the Capitol grounds, although he was acquitted of engaging in disorderly conduct …

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, enacted in the wake of the Civil War, prevents anyone who previously took an oath to defend the Constitution from holding various government offices. It was passed to prevent former Confederates from returning to government but has rarely been enforced. …

Psalm 103:6 The LORD does righteous deeds, brings justice to all the oppressed.

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
We pray to You, Our Righteous Father, to put an end to all this wickedness and false accusations being perpetrated against Your son Donald J. Trump. We ask for Your righteous deeds for Mr. Trump and his sons and we ask for Your just decision for the judge and the woman who have handed down those erroneous and severe judgments on Mr. Trump and his sons. LORD, hear our prayer and act speedily on behalf of Mr. Trump, so that Your people can rejoice in Your justice, goodness and mercy. May the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ be glorified, that many may come to the sound understanding that Jesus Christ is Lord over all and the nefarious works of the devil will be discerned and destroyed. Act quickly please Lord Jesus–Say but the Word, Lord God. One word from YOU is all we need. For Your Glory Lord and for this land. I pray.

Lord Jesus, I pray for the members of SCOTUS as they render a decision in this case. I pray for your will and truth to prevail. Give each and every justice wisdom and guidance. Give them ears to hear the still, small voice of Holy Spirit guiding and directing their actions. Thank you, Jesus.
